Correct, the two flanges i the front of the X Pipe are welded together.

The Carbon Fiber itself is extremely durable. I have been using it for years and I have customers all over the world with mother nature throwing all different kinds of elements at them! It holds up very well to the heat and as a matte of fac, you can drive the car get the exhaust system to operating temperature and the Carbon Fiber mufflerl will be only warm to the touch. I got a question...I see you eliminated those rubber bushings from the factory exhaust, where other companies choose to keep it. Do you happen to be getting some crazy vibration in the stick shift around 1800rpms? I thought thats why those bushings where their? to absorb vibrations...

I'm not really clear on them either, but my working assumption is that those dampers have more to do with modifying resonance in the exhaust system for sound purposes, rather than anything to do with felt mechanical vibration.
