New Intake/Exhausts

A few new products available from Stillen and HKS. I just got off the phone with Stillen and they claim 10-12HP gains from their intake and 19WHP from their exhaust.

At this point in time I have not received information regarding the HKS suction kit or center pipe.

For the exhaust system, do you think their claim of 18whp for the exhaust includes high-flow cats and any sort of tune?

I would be very interested in purchasing ANY cat-back system that should 10+ whp gains over stock without any other modifications at all.

Thanks for your help!

We cannot say with 100% certainty what their systems are capable of simply because we have not tested it out ourselves.

I have to ask the poignant question...... why have you not dynoed any of the products you push? If I as your typical average Joe pay for access to dyno time, why does not a shop whom makes money off of performance products?

Maybe part of the answer lies here: COBB Tuning Blog G37 Intake Testing

No way in hell you're going to pick up 18 hp from only a cat back exhaust w/o removing the stock cats. Maybe replacing both.

I picked up 13 hp from high flow cats, Y-Pipe and high flow filters. The cats are double cats and appear to be very restrictive. The car totally changed how it sounded and also ran leaner after replacement with high flow cats. Next dyno session will be removing the exhaust after the Y-pipe to see how effective/ineffective the stock system is.

Have an open challenge to Stillen to provide me an intake that I will dyno in the method of their choice paying out of my back picket to verify their claim of a 18 hp gain. So far no intake.

As a rule fo thumb, if I can get half of what the claimed hp gains are from simple boltons.... I'm a happy camper.

Denny, please stop walking around calling everyone out for not doing what you want. Reading back over the thread with Stillen, you seem kind of belligerent and arrogant. Here, you imply with your snide remark that he is trying to pull one on us by posting that link, as if he's fully aware he's selling something that doesn't do anything. You don't have to be so over-the-top to get the point across that you'd like to see dyno charts. A vendor will offer as many parts as possible, which is what Hunter is doing. He's keeping us up to date on the markets offerings. It's up to us to do our part of due dilligence and make sure that we are going to end up with what we want. I'm sure if there were charts available, Hunter would provide them, but it's just as he says and there aren't any.

I apologize for any inconvenience or mixed signals I might have caused. The reality is that all of these products are relatively new. As more information is made available to us, we will make it our priority to provide that information to the community. I understand that it can be frustrating, trying to research information that isn't provided for a car that is so new thatpeople are still learning about it. Believe us when we say that if and when Stillen is able to provide us with Dyno read outs, I will post them immediately.

Thank you for your feedback and the support.

New front mount intake for the 370Z. This design from Stillen is very popular in the G37 market. Stillen thought they would give it a shot with the 370Z. As you can see Stillen also provides dyno charts for the intake.

The collector portion of these headers is pure artwork; look at those welds! Beautiful.

I definitely agree. Central 20 is very meticulous about the different fabrication processes their products go through. In the end, very good quality.
