ARK exhaust RATTLE???

How do i stop it from rattling? I looked under the car and the right muffler is touching some part of the car. Any tips on how to fix this?

Search brotha search....

That's a heat shield. You must remove it and then use heat wrap to wrap the gas line. Or do what I did and go long tube headers and it will shift the exhaust a few mm lower and it won't touch anymore.

You do not need to remove the heat shield all you have to do is push it backwards to clear it with the pipe. Easy fix with mine. The other rattle would probably from the vibration of your license plate frame.

If the exhaust isnt lined up right. Loosen all the bolts slightly. and starting from the back forward start to tighten them. Have someone hold the pieces in plaec as you tighten so they dont shift. This alone helps alot. In terms of the shields etc, yeah do what others said.

how difficult would it be to do all that on a scale of 1-10 (1 - being average joe, 10 - Mechanic)?

Ummm well I couldn't find any literature saying you have to wrap it but I felt it was a good idea. It can get quite hot back there at times and if Nissan felt it good to put a heat shield on it, it had to be for a good reason. So I wrapped it.lol it cost about $10 at pep boys.

Also examine the entire exhaust system. Once cooled, trying shaking the exhaust. You will be able to pinpoint where the rattling is coming from.
