Fast Intentions exhaust is here! (continued)

I know pulling wrenches aren't for some people. As for myself,I like to be able to say I've done some work to the car myself.

The cat nut's aren't too bad. I got mine with a long snap-on box end 14mm wrench. A shot of PB-Blaster with some tail behind the wrench. LOL Snap-on hand tools feel good to the hands when dealing with stubborn bolts if you have to go manual.

I got all the way to the cat bolts today and they wouldn't budge. I just had test pipes installed 5000 miles ago I'm suprised they're so tight. Maybe it's time for an impact tool..

I just had my FI catback w/18" resonators installed in a local shop yesterday. I told the guy to read and follow the instructions, and charge me for the time it takes. It took him 90 minutes and he charged me $100. He also said that it was maybe the best aftermarket exhaust he had ever installed in terms of quality and fitment. I sent a picture to Kevin at FI and he said it looked like a perfect fit. I'll DIY when I don't trust someone else to do something, otherwise I'll happily pay $100 not to have to crawl under a car.

BTW, it sounds awesome. Louder than I thought, even with 18' resonators, but in a pretty good way. The OEM stock exhaust sounded like an angry vaccuum cleaner IMO. Now it sounds like a beast.

I bought the Craftsman impact wrench (1/2" cordless and wired 350-400 tq) around $200-300... it's okay... It did not loosen the exhaust bolts at all... but you will spend a lot of money on the air impact tools... at least $800 for the compressor and a decent impact wrench...

There should be a thread made dedicated to just Vids/Clips of the FI Exhaust/Cats/ & Combos. So that each type of Resonator Option + Any additional HFC/TP/Header is covered so that everyone know's what they can expect.

just my .02$..I'll def be doing a before and after when I get my exhaust..end of june...
