You can still change your order. Call Tony.

Well the thing is I won't have the extra money for it by the time its made. So that's why I was wondering if they would sell it separately for a future purchase lol

I really appreciate your advice Genesis, I'm definitely going to switch the order to at least a 12" reson. As for the non-res i'm can't quite take that step yet. There is a saying, "happy wife, happy live" hahahaha even though she's not my wife, she's always with me so I need to be mindful of something that she'll be okay with. But as for the the noise in the cabin... how is it with the windows up with the non-res CBE? Genesis? or anyone who has a Z as a DD running stock cat with FI Non-res CBE? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'm not qualified to answer that question because I was only a passenger for a short period.

I'll let you know in a 1 1/2 week when I get it installed lol.

I would have to say - no, but it does not hurt to ask. Why don't you just get the CF cans now and ask Tony if he to put the difference on a payment plan.
Personally I only go the CF cans for looks (and the weight saving as a bonus).

I just realized I'll have the money, are the CF mufflers really worth it over the SS ones In sound? I know looks and weight it squashes it! I haven't heard either in person.

Who has the F.I. TDX CBE matched with the F.I. long tube headers? Any feedback on the collective gains?

Sound is subjective. CF and SS are for two different customers. You need to find someone with CF and SS to listen to and then truly decide. I met up with a member to help him decide on his set up. I thought he did it right by reaching out. Also, if you plan or have HFCs or TPs, it would also change how it would sound.

Tony told me that with CF cans the sound might be slightly higher in pitch than SS (probably would only notice on side by side comparison). I debated if SS cans where worth the minute difference and decide to go with less weight and the look of CF.

They both sound badass. The difference is minor.

Installed my cat back F.I exhaust 12" resonated w/SS mufflers last night-#894. I put about 100 miles or so on the car today after the hot cycles and all I can say is WOW! Woke the car right up, perfect amount of sound, no rasp or drone and the install was clean and fast -by myself! Believe it or not the hardest part was getting the car up and down off the stands.

Quality exhaust -definitely recommend.

If your on the shelf as I was about 12 vs 18....I'm glad I got the 12".

Thanks Tony! :happydance::driving:

Thanks bro! I absolutely love the sound. It will never grow old...as you know :D

Thank you RoyaltyB for the videos and RustyM2001, you're right, If I'm sitting on the fence about the 12" or 18"...I should go for the 12". better to have it too loud and than not loud enough. I shall e-mail tony and change my order! Thank you Boys.

cooltoy 02-22-2014 02:00 PM

Sounds really good. To loud for me, but really good. Guess that is why I went with 18".
