I've read the original and some of this thread a year+ ago. And now looking at the website. I'm curious what the typical install is. Meaning what specific package is purchased? I definitely do not want the loudest.

Only 2 more days till Install, Non Res CF Exhasust with Res Test Pipes....I gotta say this is the best packing job I have ever seen anything arrive with, not just car parts. Everyone says it, but I'll say it again, top notch service from these guys and delivered right in the stated window.

Im not installing myself so i left the wrap on the end pieces to pack back up. And please dont mind my horrible rug in my rental, or if my Test Pipes are backwards in the pics lol

How long should it normally take to replace an exhaust?

KaienZ34 03-28-2013 06:57 AM

With hand tools and just a jack plus jack stands 2-4 hours.

^^ truth...

With a lift and only by yourself like 30-45 mins max..

I've always used our hobby shop when I did any install then I used just jackstands when I pulled my exhaust and damn it doubled the time and the fact your doing it on your back as opposed to standing.

jofro6 03-28-2013 07:16 AM

Yeah the only jack I have is the one in the trunk and only hand wrenches. So I wasnt going to attempt putting it on myself, especially with the demon bolts. Its not costing me a fortune so its worth me not killing myself and cursing up a storm laying under the car lol

Oh the time frame I have for under the car and with a lift was strictly for the exhaust.

I would not dare take on the stress of doing tp/hfc/LTH on my own and I'm very mechanically inclined.

I'll gladly pay coin for that. After reading all the horror stories. I didn't even attempt it. I paid a shop here measly $350 to do it (LTHs that is). After close to 10 hours they called me to pick up my car and hated me lol. I saw all their bloody hands/knuckles and knew they went to war lol.

Yeah that does not sound like they had fun JC. Glad I am making the right decision on that. And its only costing me like $200 for the install of the exhaust and the test pipes. I'll take that as a great deal lol

The shop that I'm gonna have install my exhaust quoted me between 90-120 dollars, however you are having test pipes installed too I guess so 200 might be about right.

$200 for everything? That's good. If they have never done a Z, I'm sure after you they'll charge more lol.

jofro6 03-28-2013 04:57 PM

haha no they have done tons of Zs actually. They mentioned the demon blots when i called to set up the appointment lol

If i was just doing the exhaust section they quoted $100, $150 for a test pipe install. So your shop price is right on par with mine.
