Hydrolock prevention

So I currently have the Injen intake installed on my Z and I was wondering what size bypass valve I should get and which one exactly? Will this one work?

Will this one work? http://www.amazon.com/09-10-Nissan-B.../dp/B0056K5ZG8

Or should I just go with the AEM ones? Does this pretty much prevent hydrolocking? Thanks in advanced.

Do you plan to ford many streams or take a garden hose straight to the intake? If not, then hydrolock should not be a concern. I see a lot of people panicked about hydrolocking their motor which would suck, but the fact is , it would take so much rain to cause it, you would have wished you had taken the boat instead of the Z

Well I just had an oil cooler installed and we had to some cutting to get the piping through the bumper and well there's a really big hole next to the filter. Also where I live, whenever it rains, it rains hard and there are some deep puddles so having the valve would be nice.

Do you plan to crash your car? If not, then you dont need car insurance.

Do you plan to get sick and need surgery? If not, then you dont need health insurance.

Do you plan to get a girl pregnant? If not, then you dont need a condom.

I hope I made my point clear. Sh*t happens.

To answer the OP's question, you need to figure out the diameter of the intake and get the appropriate bypass size. Then you would need to cut the pipe in half at the highest point and place the valve in between.

Negative, heath insurance keeps you heathly by allowing affoardable check ups & if the health care bill does not get overturned, it will illegal not to have it.

Finally something we can agree upon.

the point I was trying to make is I just see a lot of people worrying about a none issue. I would bet few here have seen a vehicle truly hydro-lock, (yes I have & have recovered after fording a river) But if in the end it gives you a warm fuzzy, by all means do it.
