this is completely embarassing. the Ti tips that came in were all 3" diameter  2.5" is what we needed.. I can't believe this wasn't caught until now when I went to go take pictures of it!No current ETA on the correct sized tips. All I can hope for is the supplier to rush it since this was a mistake on their end!!
