Yes, they will open up and let air in if the fliters get clogged with water.
I think AEM has a patent on them, there used to be a video of a car running and then the ffilters are dunked in water to show how they work. THe fender liner protects the filter, and if your in water deep enough to flooed the whole thing....your going to be floating away anyhow. |
