Whenever I get around to doing another engine mod it will most likely be this intake. |

Looks good! What are your impressions from the install?
|
Just ordered mine @ $378.68 which I think is a great deal. Time to start praying to the fast shipping gods...
|
How you got 378$. It shows 445$ for me, thx

:iagree: I have been waiting for some one to do a review on this and hear some more of the communities opinions on this vs ones we have already herd for other CAI systems |
hopefully these dont have the ac line rubbing issue that the stillen does
|
I want :)
|
ordered some today...

Man $378 is a pretty effen sweet deal. So what is the big difference b/w the Takeda & Stillen CAI besides that the Stillen has two filters & Takeda only has one filter & the actual price? What kind of hp gains are we talking about & is there a night & day difference b/w the two?

In the end I'm guessing go with the one that gives you the best deal. |

gains? dyno sheets?

You can search for that info. I for one, have no interest in running on a dyno for an intake, but I'm sure someone else has.

guys, seriously...the design is not that different from the stillens, i expected...and received, probably...similar performance. here, from my thread about the intakes...no i didn't do the dyno myself. Quote:

as far as the dyno graphs go they were done on a mustang (takeda) and a dynojet (stillen) it looks at least to me the way the stillens are is that you actually dont gain much torque until after 7250 rpm around +4-7 tq entire powerband then at 7250 it jumps to+13 where as the takeda shows a gain of about +12-15 across the entire band. the same thing goes for hp... so idk if its just the dyno difference doing that or what
|
I the Takeda is FTW IMHO. The price is right & there really isn't a huge difference b/w the Takeda & Stillen except that you do not have to cut any. This might kind of be a stupid question here & if so I am sorry. This is my first time to actually thinking about pulling the trigger on a CAI. How often do you have to clean the filter, or even replace the filter? I'm guessing clean the CAI filter at every oil change (or every other oil change) & replace the CAI at 20-30k miles.

Takeda is definitely FTW in my books too :icon17: Responded to some of the PMs that were shot my way. If you are looking for the best deals on Takeda systems, shoot me a PM. We are an authorized direct dealer and stocking distributor. -Frank |
You don't replace the filter in the Takeda. It's an aFe Pro Dry S filter, so you clean it with water, let it dry and reinstall.

no, when i say noise, i mean it in a data analysis way. there is instrumentation error in the dyno graphs that may account for the different numbers.
|
installed mine today, not to bad just a pia to have to take off the front bumper haha.

Honestly,it's almost futile to compare the results of 2 dynos of the same model, let alone different ones... But it's fun to try...

WHAT discount codes do i put in now to get the price reduced?
