Nismo exhaust

Is there any modifications needed to make the nismo exhaust fit a non nismo 370z? Is it a direct bolt on? Are the cats different between the nismo and 370z?

Default Nismo exhaust

Is there any modifications needed to make the nismo exhaust fit a non nismo 370z? Is it a direct bolt on? Are the cats different between the nismo and 370z? Are the gaskets the same or are their nismo gaskets? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

It's a direct bolt on. All Z trims have the same catalytic converters. The difference of power between a normal Z and a Nismo is the less restrictive cat-back and tune.

The Nismo CBE will have its own specific gaskets since it is slightly different than the standard Z CBE.

Few gaskets are different as there is the H pipe design, so you will be a few short if you try to re-use. I simply sourced from local Nissan parts counter and got bent over on the price per gasket

The driver side muffler mount is different on the NISMO. This has been covered in other threads. You will have to fabricate something to secure that hanger to the non-NISMO mounting point.

This took me 10 minutes with some flat aluminum stock and a hack saw.

Nissan wanted 300+ for the 'bracket'. I felt that to be a bit steep.

You do have a roadster so it could and may be different. As far as the gaskets I would replace them anyways.

Roadster differences are on top...not under carriage to the best of my knowledge. If coupes had the same mounting as the NISMO then *all* exhausts would have fitment issues on the the Roadster.

Only the OEM NISMO -> non NISMO ports has this topic been discussed.

Check out the parts diagrams...I did. Unless I mis-read them, the bracket is NISMO only.

I just did the install on my 370. The only change I would have to make is changing the driver's side forward doughnut hanger. I went to Autozone and their universal "Chrysler" hanger was a perfect fit, and at $3.49, cheap too.

The interesting thing I found was that using my stock muffler with the NISMO pipes worked better. First, the stock muffler is lighter (I didn't use a scale but I would guess five to ten pounds) and sounds better. Go figure!

Other than the left front muffler hanger thing, the system bolted up perfectly, hung well and was an easy install. Good luck.
