Yeah, I've been searching and have read a lot on the Berk and Stillen HFCs. I just haven't seen much on the FI HFCs. I like the fat that they are resonated for lower volume, but haven't found reviews on them so I was just wondering if there really was that much of a disparity between them and other HFCs.

You're right, I do plan to drive around stock for a while, but these forums are addictive. I think I've pretty much narrowed it down though. Motordyne ART pipes seem to be the best for gains so i am waiting to see what their catted exhaust will be like (I don't want cop attracting fumes). Otherwise, FI seems to have great gains for their exhaust and have the best undercover options with their 18" resonated and resonated HFCs. Their R HFCs are pricey thoguh so I was wondering if their gains really were much less than the others since the 18" resonators may compensate for the noise of the other HFCs in terms of volume.

I know I've been all over the place asking a ton of questions. Sorry if I am bugging you, but thanks for a lot of your input. It has been very helpful.

Is there any truth that the 300cell count is less likely to trigger a CEL than the 200 cell count HFCs?

Yes, a 300 cell is LESS likely to throw a CEL due to more cells = more exhaust gasses converted.

I have a set I've used for about 5K miles that im putting up for sale shortly. Ran them with the FI 18" resonated exhaust. They are fantastic cats, and did cut down a lot on drone + smoothed out the sound over non-resonated Berks. I noticed no power changes over non-resonated HFC's. If you have any q's or are possibly interested, PM me.

Will an exhaust and HFCs improve my throttle response?

You will see a big increase in throttle response throughout the entire RPM range. This combination will yield over 25-28 RWH & over 20 FT LBS of torque.

Did you get my response to your PM's? Anytime you want, please do not hesitate to call me...

Thanks, Tony

I just have test pipes and my throttle response has been soooooo much better so I can't imagine with the rest of the exhaust system.

One of the things people tell me about the headers is they are suprised at how fast the engine revs. Really high, really quick. But not ridiculously loud. Just clean.
