I agree, people should just relax a bit regarding the price, everyone has their own budget and preference, to each his own. If you all think 6K is steep for an exhaust you should check out the $40,000.00 lobster press lol.

The system looks nice, some quality work have been put into it. Are the headers ceramic or stainless? Any drive by videos yet?

The videos are done but they require a bit of work (hide the numberplates, overlay the revs to the car view, fading, cutting etc...) I think you'll have them next week!
About the stickers :rofl2: yes one of the owner of Supersprint is adamant that both the sticker and the plate cover must be on! We almost risked to run around with the plate cover on the car!! My friend is a bit worried of all the attention he's attracting when he drives around, he has to disactivate the synchro rev around town... I have to say the auto-heel&toe with the exhaust is awesome, especially with the windows down, it burbles and pops. There's no drone in the car but it's definetly louder than stock..very musical and very race car. If it's too loud on the long run they will develop a different center section. One more think, the final system will have less weldings as the curves were assembled in a few places for the prototype. The production item wil have multiple curved pipe with as few weldings as possibile. |

Anyway, even for me as European it's a quite expensive exhaust. Americans do actually not have the resources to pay "global prices" (economy down, depression, debts), so $6000 seems to be a lot of money for the avarge Joe. In the US a 370Z costs ca. $32k, in Europe a 370Z costs €40k - so a US-370Z cost us ca. €23k and a Euro-370Z costs Joe ca. $57k !!!!! Poor Americans... :-) |

I agree frankster, it's not competitive in the US, but I just wanted to share what I think it's a great system. It's there a videos of a similar system with good audio quality? This one was taken with a Sanyo HD camera (in 720p) with a RODE directional microphone attached, on a tripod.
The revving video is coming...there's a bit of metallic raspiness over 6k rpm that you don't hear neither inside or accelerating, dunno why. |

For me it sounds great. I do like the nasty "breathing" of some exhausts (I have a Q300 w/ 300 cells cat), so I do like the raspiness.
Btw, I forgot to ask one thing: What about TÜV or E-number for Germany/Europe? @Gardus: You should update your website with pictures... ;) |

Hi guys, I've got an update from the company about the final prices and availability.
The system will be on sale on November. Prices: 4460 $ + shipping and taxes for the full system 1500 $ + shipping and taxes for the catback 1130 $ + shipping and taxes for the rear exhaust I thought they would be higher...what do you think? |
4k + for that sound?! really?! in my opinion, it doesn't even sound like a vq anymore. just a bunch of noise. and by the way don't feel sorry for us poor americans, we'll be fine:)

exhaust sounds horrible.. its just rasp and farts lol. btw on this car the crossover joint so far back won't work. the x pipe needs to be as close as possible to the engine for best sound and gains

I guess sound quality is very subjective...I find it very nice, it pops and bangs, and at high revs it sounds like a race car! Some of the japanese systems sounds artificial, too clean, but that's my opinion!

~$1,500 for catback is competitive. I'd be interested in learning more about this system. I think it sounds pretty mean.

I'm beating a dead horse here, but for that price they HAVE to get the weight much lower. Why not build a single exit exhaust system to set the product apart from the vast variety of less expensive exhaust systems?
