FAST INTENTIONS DYNO RUN.
|
Has anyone heard both the Litespeed and Motordyne exhausts? Currently I have the Litespeed and while I love the sound when I'm driving hard, the drone that it has during my commuting is really starting to get to me. I guess half a year abroad really resensitized me to it.
I heard the Motordyne exhaust is really low drone and also similarly aggressive in sound. Can anyone chime in on it? Yeah I'd gain back about 20 lbs in the rear, but I think I'd be okay with that since our cars need more weight there for an even weight distribution anyway. Good move? Dumb move? |
Just a notch up from nismo cbe
Moving to a quieter neighborhood. What exhaust is just a tad bit louder than nismo?
I hate to think about selling my fi cf 12" but looks like I need to go down in volume, a lot. Tapatalk ... |
Stillen. quiet when not on it but loud when you put the pedal to the floor.

Ark grip, hks, CNT, etc... Do not get stillen if you want quieter.
|
Yeah, I was looking at ark grip and hks.
Also looked at ark dts since the mufflers are tucked in, but is it louder than grip? Tapatalk ... |
What's the TS tone like?

Invidia is an option as well

Love my Gemini! Far better quality than the Top Speed and only a few hundred more...

Just so everyone here buying the cheaper exhausts such as top speed and such...I was just quoted for an Agency Power catback $775 shipped and probably willing to go down in price further. The agency power just sounds amazing if you like a deep rumbling and louder exhaust. I almost pulled the trigger buuuuut....I decided to bite the bullet and get the HKS Hi Power because everything else pales in comparison, Its gonna sound siiiick with my RTP's :happydance:
but anyways take a gander at the agency power and talk to luke at thmotorsports. At that price thats a darn good deal imo!:tiphat: |
Congrats! Hks is definitely a great exhaust

I recently installed the Hi-Tech cat back exhaust and I love it. More recently I have also installed Stillen G3 Intakes, Stillen ceramic coated headers and Stillen Hi-Flow cats and my god its loud! Just waiting for Uprev and dyno tune next week at Revzone here in Melbourne, Australia.

2012 exhaust
hey guys, im really having a hard time choosing what exhaust. i came across this website 370Z Exhaust.com - Sound clips, photos + places to buy and its a lot... will you enlighten me which exhaust to pick.
|
Because of design and for power go motordyne or hks/ark.
|
I'd say CBE is mainly for sound and look. The actual power gain is minimal. The best way for you to decide on a catback exhaust is go out for car meets and hear/see them in person.
Here are the exhaust systems that I would recommend(order doesn't mean anything): Motordyne e370 Fast Intentions HKS Ark Invidia AAM Short tails |

its clearly better to have an aftermarket exhaust over a stock one any day |

Custom Made Exhaust/Albuquerque NM Club?
Hello everyone,
I am on the quest for the right exhaust system as it appears that many are in. I talked to a 350Z owner who indicated that he had his exhaust custom made at a local shop and the product he got was just as good or better than the products commercially avialable. He indicated that he bought the resonator online and was very happy with the results for about $400. Has anyone else done this? Recommendations/pitfalls? Also, anyone have any contact info for the Albuquerque NM Z club? Thanks! |

Thought I might add to this thread. Im pretty sure I have my mind set on the Motordyne Shockwave))). I plan to order it this Friday or next. It'll be my first "go-fast" mod but, that not why I'm getting it lol. The stock note on the Z is VERY unimpressive and mechanical sounding.

with the tune I gained 50hp & 45 torque @wheels |
Dyno pull(recorded with cell)

another exhaust thread...
Hello there everyone! i know that i might get flamed for posting this thread but i had to do it. :ughdance:
i've had the nismo for a few months now and currently running the nismo exhaust with a muffler delete.. although the exhaust sounds great i feel like its just a bit too loud for me and would like to get something different. Its safe to say that i've narrowed my options down to only 4 systems: 1. Fast Intentions (love the sound, look, and quality, but hate the wait.. very impatient person) 2. Motordyne E370 (great exhaust, but i feel like the price is a bit too much) 3. Tanabe Medalion (nice sounding exhaust, but for some reason seems not very common) 4. Ark GRiP (like the look and sound) just wanted to see what you guys think or might have some other recommendations? not sure if any of the above systems will be a downgrade from the oem nismo with a muffler delete.. thanks for looking! any feedback would be much appreciated :tiphat: |
From what I can tell you is that the FI will be the recommended by most of the Z community. Not sure how much louder it will be over the stock Nismo exhaust with muffler delete. I guess it depends on if you go with resonated or non resonated. The Motordyne is probably the second best choice IMO. I like the look and sound of it but the price is just not there for me. I will have to say that it is the same for the Tanabe. It seems to be very pricey for what it gives you (y-pipe and back) compared to FI where you get the full system. I do like the look of the Ark GRiP but I would say that FI is still better.
I don't have any of these exhausts but I know people in the area that do and they sound amazing (FI and Motordyne). |
