Yeah i figured that FI would be the #1 pick and i can clearly see why.. great looking and sounding exhaust and the welding is phenomenal, but the wait time is just too much IMO, i guess the E370 is out of the picture just for the price, so its really between the FI and the ARK GRiP, maybe the Tanabe is someone has anything convincing to say lol. Just wish that FI was more available, there will be no questions asked then!!

Bullit79 01-20-2014 10:49 AM

Keep an eye out in the private classifieds section. They pop up used every so often. I got lucky myself and found a local selling theirs. And if you do order from FI and find a used one before shipment, you can sell your spot in line to someone else. I've seen that mentioned several times throughout the forum.

EDIT: Today is your lucky day...

http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...aust-sale.html

Also will note I was contacted one time by a dealership in Dallas claiming they keep some FI exhausts in stock. Never followed up with them though.

Wow i thought it was almost impossible to find a used one lol! im probably being a bit too picky here but i was going for the 12' resonators, and although the posting price is obo, if i order one from FI it'll be like an extra $200 shipped which is worth it for the piece of mind of not having a dent
How do you like your FI exhaust? and what X-pipe do you have?

I have 18" resonated. I too was on the fence on 12" vs. 18", but I love the 18's. When cruising at highway speeds, you can still hear the purr of the exhaust and then when you get on the throttle, the purr becomes a roar! (But nothing obnoxious)

Later if you still think 18" is not loud enough, you could just order the x-pipe from FI (with the 3 month wait time) or see if anyone would be willing to trade their 12" for your 18".

Also, the dent/scrape on there doesn't look too bad IMHO. Probably doesn't affect sound or performance. You could probably give the guys at FI a call to get a 2nd opinion. They're more than happy to talk about their product.

EDIT: BTW k-series crew checking in. Still have my NHBP '05 RSX (base) as my semi-daily driver.

I'm running w/ the 18"'s...couldn't be happier. No highway drone, plenty loud for my tastes.

IIRC, the wait time will be less than that on just an x-pipe.

+1 for F.I. here

man do i miss that K block.. as much as i love the nismo, i still wish that i would've kept the Si to be the daily instead of driving the nismo on almost a daily basis..

nhbpcivicsi 01-20-2014 03:43 PM

Regarding the original topic, its between the FI and the ARK GRiP.. downside to FI is the wait time, and for the GRiP i saw a thread regarding fitment issues on the nismo.. not sure what to do

dima370z 01-27-2014 05:35 PM

people I need some serious help, what would you pick: ARK GRiP or Fast Intentions 12'? problem with ARK is I heard issues with fitment on nismo (not sure if v2 fixed that problem) and the problem with FI is the long wait.. WHAT WOULD YOU PICK??!?!

Power House Amuse

Get Amuse Stti! Enough said, any comments anyone? Talk to Mark at bulletproof automotive. Proven with Eye Candy. Bet everyone starts drooling once you have it. Especially compared to the ones they just mentioned. I would say, get full exhaust with Y- pipe. :happydance::ugh2::owned:

That's just my 2 cents but it's well worth it. Cutting the bs big time. Any negatives about Amuse anyone? ....don't think so....

PRICE... I don't need a full JDM to make my Zpeen bigger. Coming from Japan, that may be counterproductive.

Amuse Exhaust or HKS Exhaust?

Guys i need help on this..

I'm thinking of changing my exhaust system, but i'm not sure to go with the HKS or the Amuse exhaust. I managed to hear a person rev with his HKS on a 370z.. not bad but very quiet on its cruising.

Has anyone heard both of these exhausts before?

Which is better..

I'm from Singapore so we are only allowed to mod exhausts, cannot put in any hfcs or straight pipes..

So which would be better? Suggestions?

Price wise they are both the same here..

Eclipz 03-30-2014 03:58 PM

Haven't heard Amuse but hks is nice. Most places you aren't allowed to mess with the factory cats but people do anyway.

Anyone here have feedback on the Injen exhaust? I looked around the forum and could only find 1 or 2 threads on it. Any Injen ses owners please speak up. :-)

Apologies if this has been asked & answered-
I'm interested in a cat-back exhaust that saves weight and adds power - but it can't be too loud.

In the future I might do high flow cats, headers, and CAI, with the car's primary purpose being autocross and maybe the occasional track day. So even if the exhaust by itself isn't too bad, it'll have to help tame the rest of the car as those mods get added.

Where I autocross, and at tracks like Laguna Seca, there is a 92db limit (measured 50' off to the side), that I don't want to worry too much about going over. Would like a long distance drive to not require earplugs, too.

So, something that adds power, saves a few pounds, but isn't much louder than stock. Anything like that exist?

Thanks!
Jason

You can try getting the Powerhouse Amuse R1 Silent Titanium exhaust. Adds power, super lightweight and its a catback. Don't forget tho changing to high flow cats gonna raise your exhaust db.

carlitos_370z 07-16-2014 06:28 AM

i want the invidia gemini.. looks great and i like the sound... dont know the weight

Asheth 07-20-2014 06:05 PM

So budget is $1500 for a Cbe I've looked at motordyne which I'm being quoted for $1800. I looked at ark grip and DTS. Dts is apparently quieter but louder then grip. I will only take a FI if it comes up for sale not waiting 4 months.

My main priority is clearance then sound and gains. Sound probably trumps gains but most of the exhaust are close in gains. I can't think of any other exhaust to research though seems many moved toward arks, motordyne, and FI. The early released exhaust don't hear much about anymore except of course FI. Any other recommendations to check out?

SOHO motorsports in charlotte, NC used my car to make their single exit 3 inch exhaust, they are now offering these for the 370 line. this is the prototype so I am not sure if its exact to how the final product will find its way to the rear bumper. I did have it a zdayz so a few of you have already heard it in person most likely. just thought id share it with you guys to see what you think!?

car made 306HP and 247LB/FT with the exhaust and nick made a few small adjustments to the fuel table. car made 301 and 244 before the adjustments!

Car still has factory y pipe and cats. changing the y-pipe and everything next

The SOHO single exit exhaust was just finalized last week. the exhaust is more tucked up under the car and sounds a little deeper than the video I posted. I will make a new video soon of the new one. the exhaust is a bit more straight now so I guess that changed the tone a little.

As for price they're charging 700 dollars for the y-back section. not sure if that includes a resonator or not.

jamesj1996 08-03-2014 09:55 PM

general opinion.

hey guys i just want to make a quick thread about people opinions about berk exhaust. i bought my car with berk on it and im broke paying off the car so theres rlly no money for mods. i love the sound of it. today a kid said i need a new exhaust and that berk sounds stock. (his parents buy him everything and he drives a genesis 2.0 AUTOMATIC) lol anyways he was telling me its quiet and not deep and that i havent heard a nice 370z exhaust. i want motordyne but i have to PAY for it not my parents . so im just a bit frustrated because hes my friend and hes saying **** but anyways how do u guys think berj compares to stock?

aszyd 08-03-2014 10:14 PM

Just pick up a set of used HFCs from the classified section here. A few hundred bucks and it will change the sound of your exhaust completely.

Read T 08-04-2014 10:15 AM

I love my OEM Nismo one I picked up super cheap. No NVH or droning like an aftermarket part and perfect fit. Sounds a bit lower and louder than stock.

Christothep 08-04-2014 11:29 PM

I just installed a STILLEN exhaust. Full cat-back. After a while of research, it was what I was looking for. Awesome cold start, no drone sound when cruising but when you punch the gas it growls nice!!

2sl0w 08-05-2014 12:21 AM

Motordyne z370 with HFC or ART pipes. Hands down the best exhaust I have had on this car.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjJoe6qF9Xc

RTenenbaum 08-15-2014 06:05 AM

I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust that is fairly inexpensive (so not the Stillen) and slightly louder than stock, but not crazy loud. I think my days of owning insanely loud cars are behind me, but I do want to hear my car -- stock is too quiet. What are the reasonably priced options for picking up a little more power and giving the car some sound without making it scream? Is simply changing to high flow cats a good option for me?

DocHoliday412 08-28-2014 02:19 AM

I went with AAM Short Tails so I am going to mix and match my exhaust system.. I installed CNT Racing resonated test pipes. i am going to the TopSpeed Y-pipe then the Meisterschaft SS cat back pipe straight pipe to go along with that.. it's gonna be hella loud but that's to quiet the Mustangs going straight pipe and anyone wanting to step up to the plate lol

benji 09-08-2014 11:32 AM

what would you guys say is one of the louder exhaust/cat combos that still has fairly good HP gains. i was planning on going Stillen catback and cats, but the clips i have seen it still sounds fairly tame. I have pretty crappy speakers at work, and no computer at the house so the videos only do so much for me. any suggestions guys?

Meisterchaft

hurricanekid 09-08-2014 08:53 PM

Meisterchaft/armytrix would fit you best.. Or else HKS hi power with berk hfcs would be good.. Loud and higher pitch.

Minira 09-09-2014 08:29 PM

Will the HKS HI Power Ti system that is listed on the hksusa site part #32009-BN004 fit on a 2012 Nismo 370z? I have seen other brands have a seperate system for the nismo sub model. Just wondering if this would work. The site only specifies 09+ 370z with no sub models listed. I have emailed HKS about this but havent heard back. Guess I will try and call them next.
