I love my OEM Nismo one I picked up super cheap. No NVH or droning like an aftermarket part and perfect fit. Sounds a bit lower and louder than stock.

I just installed a STILLEN exhaust. Full cat-back. After a while of research, it was what I was looking for. Awesome cold start, no drone sound when cruising but when you punch the gas it growls nice!!

Motordyne z370 with HFC or ART pipes. Hands down the best exhaust I have had on this car.

I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust that is fairly inexpensive (so not the Stillen) and slightly louder than stock, but not crazy loud. I think my days of owning insanely loud cars are behind me, but I do want to hear my car -- stock is too quiet. What are the reasonably priced options for picking up a little more power and giving the car some sound without making it scream? Is simply changing to high flow cats a good option for me?

I went with AAM Short Tails so I am going to mix and match my exhaust system.. I installed CNT Racing resonated test pipes. i am going to the TopSpeed Y-pipe then the Meisterschaft SS cat back pipe straight pipe to go along with that.. it's gonna be hella loud but that's to quiet the Mustangs going straight pipe and anyone wanting to step up to the plate lol

what would you guys say is one of the louder exhaust/cat combos that still has fairly good HP gains. i was planning on going Stillen catback and cats, but the clips i have seen it still sounds fairly tame. I have pretty crappy speakers at work, and no computer at the house so the videos only do so much for me. any suggestions guys?

Meisterchaft

hurricanekid 09-08-2014 08:53 PM

Meisterchaft/armytrix would fit you best.. Or else HKS hi power with berk hfcs would be good.. Loud and higher pitch.

Minira 09-09-2014 08:29 PM

Will the HKS HI Power Ti system that is listed on the hksusa site part #32009-BN004 fit on a 2012 Nismo 370z? I have seen other brands have a seperate system for the nismo sub model. Just wondering if this would work. The site only specifies 09+ 370z with no sub models listed. I have emailed HKS about this but havent heard back. Guess I will try and call them next.

that meisterchaft sounds really mean. 3200$ without cats though ouch

Litespeed Racing exhaust!! Handsdown most aggressive sounding and lightest around. Not to mention I also purchased their titanium intakes, great guys to work with!!

Are people fitting 3" sytems too these cars? or just 2.5"?

I mean is their the need for a 3" exhaust on a non turbo'd car?

There is no need for the extra flow on NA cars. I am putting the AAM 3" exhaust on my car (parts go on next weekend), but that is in preparation for turbos. There is only a half inch difference so if you are going to stay NA then a 2.5 should be fine. With the extra flow I could lose some torque from the loss of back pressure but it should be fine. IMHO.
