Default exhaust mod 1st for most power or does it matter.

I have a question in regards to the the "1st mod performed" and how much horsepower versus the 2nd and 3rd mod. From what i have been reading from other forum members is that the 1st mod yields the most power and less on the next mod. Well i will be installing the Fast Intentions exhaust and K&N drop ins with the hps tubes, and i was going to install everything at the same time, Now what? Do i do the exhaust 1st and drive for awhile to get the most horsepower and wait to install the tubes and K&N? Cause they produce the least power gain. Or does it matter to install all at the same time? Confusing to me. I use to own an EVO 8 and it didnt matter what mod i installed 1st or 2nd i still got the horsepower it should produce not less cause it was a 2nd or 3rd mod. Please help me answer this question before i start installing these parts.

If you plan on doing them all its the same whether you put them on all at once or at different times.. I would just do it all

If you're going to do all the mods in the end, it doesn't matter. What you've been reading is that the end HP gains of multiple mods is not equal to adding the HP gains of each mod separately. For example, if exhaust will add 15 HP, and intake 10 HP. Together they will not equal 25 HP gains. In the real world, you might see 20 HP gains together.

^^ yeah what he said so If you do the exhaust first and gain 20 and then wait to do the K&N filters you will lose some HP from the exhaust. It doesn't matter how long you wait the first mod will always show the most gains by itself, and you will always lose some from the initial mod with the second. Now, you wont lose overall from the starting point of the first say you have 20 from the exhaust that doesn't mean you will have like 18 after you put the filters in.. it just means you will show about 18 from the exhaust and 5 from the drop ins.. does that help??

I am #287 build with Fast intentions cat back with 18" resonators and stainless steel mufflers. the HPS tubes and K&N drop ins are in the garage waiting to be installed! From what Tony at FI told me today exhaust should be here in 2 or 3 weeks, been waiting for over a month now! Next clear bra! Bought the car in Sept and only have 3200 miles on her! just my sunny day weekend car. Dont even want to drive her till i get the clear bra cause of the damn thin clear coat on her.

Nice. You wont gain any HP from the clear bra though I'm #285...From what you said, it looks like this will come in around the week of Easter. My GF will be off work the entire week and loitering at my place. There goes my plan of sneaking the exhaust on without the GF noticing!!! At least I wont have to leave it on my front porch all day if she's here to sign for it.

Get it tuned (UpRev) after your done with all the breather mods and you'll gain back some of those hp's.
