Default Imput needed: TP vs Gutted Cats

All,

I know this is a dead horse topic but I think my specific question is valid. I have recently installed non resonated TP's on the car. I love the performance but hate the sound. I am considering gutting my stock cats. I have an extra set so trashing these will not be an issue.

My question is.. Will the gutted cats help eliminate the "tinny" sound of the TP's?
Will I have similar performance gains as the TP's?

All feedback is appreciated.

I wouldn't gut them -- I think it may create all sorts of weird resonances and also may not flow too well.

I just had a set of resonated TP's installed and it sounds great -- huge difference from standard TP's.

They're the GTM ones and they also make use of the OEM cat bracket.

I doubt it would make any difference over a standard set of test pipes. Not only that, but you are throwing away $200 worth of precious metals you could sell to a scrap yard.
