Why you change your air filters
25,000 miles in, I switched out my stock filters (30k life) for K&N.
Just wanted to post a few pictures of the old filters and dirty they were. Its quite interesting to see what made it up the intakes into the filters.  Interesting to see where most of the airflow goes.  Somehow a pebble got stuck in the filter. A pebble made it all the way to there. Wow.  Lots of seeds and other misc stuff stuck in there. Compared to my last car (corolla) this is crazyness, as there was never anything more than a 'helicopter' seed or two in there in 100k+ miles. |
