UPDATE #1 Silencer out pics and idle vid post 36

K&N drop ins
Ebay Y pipe
TS CBE

My entire set up cost $<600 bucks

Got this for a good price, fast shipping, Ebay special from this guy. ( Again, no benefit to me, this is purely for information purposes)
Nissan 370Z 09-10 Top Speed Catback Exhaust System - eBay (item 370480189219 end time Mar-01-11 14:49:29 PST)

Ordered last Friday, got it today via UPS, the guy is in Texas as am I, but none the less shipped same day as I bought so Kudos there, also very easy to deal with, nice guy.

Packaged very nicely, all intact.

Very secure.

As expected, pretty nice, decent quality. All parts here, one small niggle, not massive but this is a fair review, 1 of the silencer bolts was missing, I have spares..

Weighed the individual componants prior to install.

Stock mid pipe 16.72 lbs
Stock muffler 26.62 lbs

TS Mid 9.9 lbs
TS muffler 18.7 lbs

Total weight saving of 14.74, not to shabby for a CBE section.

Install went really easy, everything fit etc, supplied bolts are good enough but I swapped them out for some of my own which are about 10mm longer as I like to get a good bit of nut on Hand tools - 45mins top.

I have centered the mufflers today but am going to do the final allignment in a couple of days when all hangers have re settled and its found its 'hang spot'.
I have choosen to run initially with the silencers in place.

Heres the start up / idle / rev up in garage.

I gave it a spin around the block and was quite impressed, a real nice sound with ZERO hiss at all.

Wife took the car out shopping, txt me and said it sounds so good, I cant believe I just put the window down to hear it...lol great stuff.

All in all I am very happy, sound delicious

Updates posted as they come.
Cheers
