Save for a full CBE for sure, but in the mean time try this

What is washer mod??

It is the absolute cheapest mod you can do to the Z with the most impact! Try and and let us know how you like it.

For those that will probably flame the sh$t out of this, you can't knock it until you try it

p.s. i put it back to stock, only reason i did is because i'm going to finally buy something to do with the exhaust, just don't know what yet lol.

p.p.s. i loved it! i dont care what others think of it, for only a couple bucks, it was the best thing i ever did, it sounded absolutely amazing

Dan z man Is it gonna damage anything in the long run ?? I'm noob oviously haha

BTW, I know most of u think that full fatback is better but my friend has an SI and has has only axle back and it sounds good, not too loud, not too quite. Another reason is my fiancée won't let me spend too much money, she says it's a waste lolz, that's y I'm considering an axle back.

tony, i'm no expert at this, so please don't take what i say to heart, but let me explain.

a lot of people are always like "way to create an exhaust leak" "your valves are going to be shot after a couple miles" blah blah blah...

you know what though, i don't buy into that, what the hell is with the millions of people that buy a cat back exhaust, what about the people that buy an axle back exhaudt, what about header back, test pipe etc. etc. etc. etc.

really if you think about it, 1: it's not like you are running open header, you are only gapping the pipes from the back pipes/muffler, so it's as if you'r running axle back anyways correct?

for instance, i really really realllly want the aam axle back short exhaust, it's a muffle delete exhaust and looks amazing, saves weight, and basically, makes the car louder, well in all reality, that's like the washer mod, no? so for everyone that does and exhaust, are they going to burn up there valves in 200 miles??

i think with todays technology and strong motors, i'd say you'll be fine, again, i'm no expert, but that's my take on it.

Is an ecu reset or tune needed for an axle back or muffler delete bc of the loss in back pressure?
