I see you have custom setups avail. So is it possible to get a angled cut tip and with out the purple/blue colors? Just a nice silver finish?

It is possible to have a polished finish with no gradation burn. The angle cut tips might be possible; we would have to check with Amuse to see if they are willing to do it.

Hey...that video is by the high-speed dude racing down some of Japan's streets! Does he work for Amuse? If so can you please tell him to repost the video exhibiting the factory backup camera? Thanks.

Is the video of the single or dual pipe system?

And do you give student discounts?

:icon18: This footage is of the RS-Silent, the dual pipe. If you order the single piping it will actually be lighter and louder.

I can help you out with a "student discount" ;) ...PM me if you are interested.

Are there any performance benefits to gain by going with a single pipe exhaust instead of a dual pipe exhaust?

Or is it just lighter?

RCZ 04-22-2009 06:29 PM

probably about $1500 worth of benefit.

Beautiful exhaust.

reminds me of their e92 M3 exhaust...which is just plain artwork.

With the R1 Extra Exhaust, the larger single piping provides a good amount of back pressure. It also shaves off more weight because of less materials. The single piping also changes the sound of the exhaust. So in short, there are performance gains, but whether or not they are benefits depends on your priorities. If weight savings is one of your top priorities, then this titanium exhaust with single piping is a good benefit.

So its a good choice if you want to keep torque in a freer flowing exhaust, right?

Based on Amuse's results, yes.

Hey. I just sent you a PM with several questions. Will you take a look at them?

Also, can we expect a Y Pipe from Amuse? Any other cool parts???

PM Sent. Thx for the inquiry  .

I think it is safe to say that we can expect a Y Pipe from Amuse in the future, as well as suspension and aero, maybe even a GT1 or JGTC inspired widebody. None of this is for sure but based on their products with the Z33, the S2000, and the GT-R, I think that everything I mentioned is a definite possibility.

Endgame 04-29-2009 02:41 PM

Thanks!!

We just found out from Amuse that they are offering a new tip design for 2009. The new tip will involve a thicker tip wall with a purple burn around the edge.

Any chance of posting dynos of both pipes?

Also, on your site, it's confusing. In one location, it says the Extra single pipe saves 20.9 lbs., but then it also says 19 lbs. directly underneath there. It also says 19 lbs. and 21 hp. for both the Silent and the Extra pipe, but it seems hard to believe they're both the same...

Love the looks of these, love the weight savings - just need more info and more vids (sorry - I'm impatient).

Endgame 04-30-2009 08:34 AM

will that new tip be available with the Gold ring?

No worries, I like your enthusiasm. Sorry for the confusion on the site.

The R1-Extra is 1.15kg, roughly 2lbs, lighter than the RS-Silent.

Currently we do not have any dynographs for the R1-Extra. Based on the form and design of each exhaust, I think it is safe to say that out of the box, the R1-Extra probably provides a little bit more back pressure and less weight; the RS-Silent has more potential for more power gains with other mods.

With the R1-Extra, when you order the exhaust, for an additional $200 you can upgrade the two 50mm piping to two 60mm piping. This option helps the R1-Extra with its potential for more horsepower gains with other mods.

Once we receive dyno charts from Amuse for the R1-Extra we will be posting those everywhere so keep checking back on our website and threads for updates.

This tip design is going to be standard on all Z34 Amuse exhausts for 2009 and the gold ring option is available for those that would like it  .

sweet!

Nice - thanks. It seems like if you're going to do it, the larger piping makes sense. I'll be curious to see if that option matches the Silent.

Endgame 04-30-2009 09:11 PM

Well, I am see it is the larger piping makes sense IF you plan on heavy upgrades. I don't plan on anything more than catback (y pipe included), maybe an intake, and a tune.

Does that make sense???? I see the larger piping for turbo applications.

For you then, the R1-Extra with 50mm dual piping sounds ideal IMO. On their website, Amuse recommends not going with the 60mm piping on the R1-Extra unless you plan to achieve over 330ps.

The gold ring does serve some functionality but it is mostly for aesthetics. The inspiration for gold wrapping on these exhausts came from the McLaren F1 LM.

There are a few sound clips floating around the forums here...somewhere. If I find any additional clips I will post them here for everyone.

DannyGT 05-08-2009 07:41 PM

Looking at that makes me regret not getting it. But still, 4.5K+ for the whole exhaust is just so much...

We considered stocking Amuse exhaust products for a while. In the end, we thought it best not to and for only one reason. We want to ensure that our client's acquire exactly what they are looking for. With Amuse exhausts, You are able to choose how you want the gradation finish to look on both the tips and canisters. If we stock an exhaust with certain gradation finishes, then we limit our options and the options of our clients.

We might stock the Amuse high flow cats and front pipe for the Z34 if we see enough demand for it, but as of now a majority of focus for Amuse has been towards their catbacks.

To my knowledge, currently there are not any sound clips of the R1 Extra for the Z34. Hopefully soon.
