Amuse just released an R1 version of their high flow cats. These cats look the same as the Silent Cats, but has less restriction inside for more free flow, different sound, and more performance.

Once we get some pictures I will post them for everyone's viewing pleasure :driving:.

The Y-pipe comes from Amuse without a gradation finish. In case someone is unaware, titanium naturally develops a blue hue overtime as it heats up and cools down.

Here are a few pics of a Y-pipe for a Z33 that one of our clients purchased a while back. Notice the development of a blue hue over time.

Hello,

I'm interested in the R1 Extra STTi (with 60mm pipe), But I'm waiting for the dyno result (are they out yet?). I'm also going for there titanium Y pipe, and there HFC. and how can i tell witch HFC i get ? if its the restricted one or there new design (the higher flow ones)?

The pictures you posted the top Y pipe doesn't look like the ones below! their design are different. and doesn't the Y pipe should have a spring joint or the thing on the MINDS Y pipe (don't know the name of it) so the Exhaust system is flexible for vibration or bumps? Do they have more then one Y design for the Z34? if they do whats the different between them TQ and HP?

Don't know, but this is so confusing for me.
but for me or for the rest of us to make a decision and invest on this system. we need clear info's. and if we can have sound clips of the different variation we have here.

Thanks and sorry for my poor English.

Hunter, any idea what the dB rating is on the R1000? Without a resonator would it go over the legal limit? Also, any word on the weight savings for that full single pipe vs the R1 Extra?

Thanks Hunter!

VancouverZ34 03-28-2010 03:14 AM

Hunter,
Please PM the price for R1000 exhaust, as well as if the exhaust db reading will stay in the legal limit.
Oh, I need shipping cost to Vancouver Canada as well.
Plus, would this exhaust compatible with twin turbo set up if I decide to drop a nice set of turbos??
Thanks,

Alex

Make sure you get a firm commitment on shipping....... I am sure I will have a not too great story to tell about Bulletproof after this week about that....

And Phalen does not have the R1000 he has a modified R1 Titan enlarged for turbo duty. The R1000 is a single exit exhuast and probally would be even more suitable to a turbo (and cheaper).

Vegitto-kun 03-28-2010 06:57 AM

The only thing I Really want from amuse is the vestito body kit.

their exhausts are too expensive and my kind of thing.

kevin.z 03-28-2010 11:52 AM

i was refering to his enlarged piping, but i forgot his is dual. hahah my bad.

Has there been an issue with your shipping? I'm sorry that I do not know your name offhand as I'm a bit new to this forum in particular after taking over for Hunter, but I'd like to find out your order information to make sure everything is going smoothly and as expected.

Endgame 03-31-2010 12:52 AM

There has... pretty bad also. I canceled my order. This order was placed thru another vendor who uses Bulletproof to order the parts. The transaction left such a bad taste in my mouth about Bulletproof that I do not want to do business directly with Bulletproof, or even from a third party perspective (which is unfortunate as I will be doing some Amuse shopping still....)..

You might not be getting the full story in Bulletproof's defense. Often times other shops will make excuses to cover up their own asses. I've bought parts from them in the past and they've always been very communicative.

Endgame 03-31-2010 08:50 AM

Not in this case. I sat there and watched my shop try to get updates from Bulletproof to no avail. This is a long story that i may post in full detail later...

If you feel it's fair, I'd like a chance to find out what happened exactly. I don't recall any canceled orders for 370z parts so I'm still completely in the dark as to what happened and with who. Simply knowing the vendor will help greatly.

I hope you can give me this chance to find out what happened. It sounds like something may have went terribly wrong and I'd like to correct it if possible or at least learn from it.

I wonder how expensive the vestito kit + shipping would be. only want the bumper. side skirts and spoiler though. not a big fan of the rear bumper. but then again I would have to find one that looks nice on the rest

RedComet 04-04-2010 07:46 AM

Speaking of Amuse look at this one-off quad exhaust they made for a customer of theirs. I didn't even know they stuff like this. So sick.

If you aren't in a rush, the kit can be imported via ocean which is covered by us. All you would need to pay for is domestic shipping. Where are you located? For a full kit + wing, it would probably run around $150 west coast and $230 east coast (rough estimates) Without the rear bumper, you're only saving $10-20 on shipping.

We have a full kit for stock arriving in about a week. We wouldn't be able to part it out though. A special order generally takes about 8-12 weeks from the order date via ocean.

Once the kits arrive in about a week and we have dimensions, I can get you an exact quote if you're interested. Otherwise international shipping quotes can easily range from $700-1600 depending on the country and box dimensions. We rarely ship to Belgium so I can't quote based on experience.

What are your plans in terms of power?
If you want loud, R1000 is the way to go. The RS silent, Midori & Mines are the opposite and will be a little louder than stock. This is for a cleaner sound without sacrificing power.

Not sure about eh Central 20 exhaust.
