Greddy box?

We're waiting on specific boxes to come in. That Greddy box had some parts in it from the twin turbos we're building. The Shortys fit perfect so I was thinking, cool, I'm going to use this!

Thats what I figured! :)

No sense in wasting a good, used box. Nice to know we have an eco-friendly shop serving the 370Z community.

I'll grab some if they produce gains.

Yeah, bad drone. There was a little below 2k rpm that didn't bother me. The problem was from 4k-5.5k rpm. It's so loud that all the interior panels rattle and your head is about to explode. I'd routinely have headaches after driving for 15-20 minutes home from work. It was more manageable with the windows open and again, sounds downright outrageously awesome...but I want to hear my grandchildren's voices in 40 years.

:icon17: Thanks for the feedback.. Sounds tempting, but as you said after 15-20 minutes getting a headache doesn't sound pleasing. Hmmm

JDW1479 12-16-2010 06:07 PM

With being such a simple bolt on, you just put them on before you go to a car show or meet. When you get done, put the stock muffler back on.

Juruki 12-16-2010 07:18 PM

cant wait for the install pics and review! Hurry :P

Csquared 12-16-2010 07:58 PM

It's the end of the week and still no pm how can i hop on the offer?!

thezmonster 12-16-2010 10:15 PM

Guys I forgot to bring my camera for install pics :/ oops!!!! But the install took one hour and 15 mintues that included the wheel spacers installation. The cold start was amazing and aggressive drone not much raspy or anything like that. I gotta that's the best thing I spend on this exhaust and I'm impressed how it sounds and fell inlove with it. I will post the pics and video Tom. At work and I will put my camera in the z tonight so I won't forget !!! This is the best product for track/street use for turn heads etc you know the drill. Thanks for the AAM services and I'm glad I'm your first customer to purchase this short tail exhaust !! Got any questions....? Feel free to pm to me!

Thanks
Tim Mundy (ZMONSTER)

lose on the driver side 2 bolts

In order to lose the last exhaust hanger get somebody to hold the old muffler rear section and remove the muffler
Then replace the gaskets with brand new ones and
install the exhaust short tails
Tight up the both side exhaust hanger but make sure the exhaust goes in the pipe and tight up the 14 bolt and double check with everything in order to warm up the vehicle to run up to 10 mins and test drive it !!!

VQinside 12-17-2010 12:23 AM

to AAM,
Can you guys post some videos showing a decibel meter (don't know the actual name) of a stock exhaust vs the aftermarket pieces you are selling.
I'm really interested but I'm not a fan of loud exhausts.
I do feel the price is high for what it is.

Jon@AAMComp 12-17-2010 09:48 AM

^ Thanks for the pics Tim! Exhaust looks good on the car! Looking forward to the vid!

We're top of it! We're getting a dB meter in here soon and I'll shot a video of all of our exhaust products and compare them to stock, Best Motoring style.

So what are your thoughts on the drone? It sounds amazing on the cold start but what about cruising speeds? I like to read a bunch of opinions from different people because some people are sensitive to it and others not so much.. thanks and looks good!!

tonybui 12-18-2010 10:43 AM

Zmonster, it's a coincidence that I'm in Charlotte right now, is there a way we can meet up so I can listen to this exhaust?

what are your personal thoughts on how loud this is?

Vegitto-kun 12-18-2010 11:24 AM

I wonder how this sounds with my 12" FI Xpipe and LTH

or this + none resonated X pipe + LTH

christian370z 12-18-2010 11:54 AM

Sounds really good, are you on stock cats? Is there a ton of drone?

thezmonster 12-18-2010 10:33 PM

I can hear little drone in high rpms but I dont shift high rpms though, I shift 2500-3000 rpm and cruising speeds sounds quiet and when you little gas it sounds like the cold start rev. its sounds amazing in person

I was suprise to see how it sounds and if you are in front of the Z and its sounds aggressive and when you walk to back of the Z where the exhaust and it sounds pretty good and I love it

thezmonster 12-19-2010 10:11 AM

VQinside 12-21-2010 02:02 AM

Please make one that fits a Stillen exhaust... :)

There is a post on here somewhere with the ones spearfish had made (i bought them) on my car with berk test pipes... it is an intense sound with test pipes but not for the faint of heart :D

Dan Z Man 12-27-2010 02:30 PM

i soooo want these!!! this is exactly what i've been waiting for!! the price just seems a little excessive though -_-

TypeOne 12-27-2010 04:02 PM

That's neat, they look very nice too.

I'd like to see the graphs and decibel meter as well!
