Ive had the short tails for a while now... I absolutely love em'.. But hate the drone.. So I had dynamat installed in my doors and trunk bed... All I have to say is WOW... No more drone! And such a quiet cold start up! Acceleration is also dampened down.. Very happy about the install. I had other work down on the car, some aesthetic mods... But the total for everything was $1,000(including other stuff).

Evil, youtube AAM short tail 370z, and watch the PW one. It's not loud at regular rpm's, it just gets mean when you get on the go juice.

So has anyone added a muffler of some type to the aam tails? I love the sound but I feel like I lost a lot of low end torque. So would adding a muffler of some type create some back pressure and possibly give me that torque back?

You can't add a muffler to them... they're "delete" pipes... deleting the muffler..

What I did to get my back pressure back is the UpRev tune... amazing product ... fix all my wrongs... I'm completely opened up on exhaust. So I was lean and lost back ...

If you're gonna tune. UpRev is the way to go....

I'm pretty confident if I wanted to add a muffler of some type I could. But I will look into the tune for sure.

I have them and Im thinking they are a just a bit too loud. Is there an option that has a slight sound reduction thats as easy to install as the short tails.

Megan makes something similar but it's crap. AAM is the way to go. Or do the spacer mod lol.

I personally think that any type of muffler you add would alter the sound. If you want to add mufflers back in, you might as well get a full cbe.

Yeah but Im not a Dyno junky and said I would never spend CBE type $$, For what??? This is not a race car, at least for me.

This adds a way different sound to the car compared to a Cat-back exhaust... but, in a good way. Both clean and raw.

Ive had mine for a few months and like any other exhaust I've owned since new the loudness tones down a bit. Give it a month or so.
