Jon, I'd be willing to help you guys out (and I'm 5 mins from the shop)...as long as the tips are oval :)

I am in if a muffler version will be produced. I read that the Megan Axle back are not compatible with factory exhaust system and HKS is a bit much for an axle back.

cool stuff

I unbolted the Nismo muffler to hear what it sounded like (basically a 2.5" full exhaust with high flow cats and an x-pipe and two resonators). Let's just say that's a drag strip only mod, SOOOO loud. Sounded pretty good, lots of hiss but very race-car sounding. :)

Anyone find dyno or bought then and have an opinion?? Ill getting a tanabe but these sound fun for the weekend, especially if I just weld it myself...

Big J 03-21-2011 08:45 PM

I ordered these today. I'll give my opinion this weekend hopefully.

Muffler delates are loud as **** lol

Big J 03-21-2011 09:37 PM

And that's what I'm going for:) I also have test pipes, btu sorry i'm not taking those off to get a baseline dyno lol.

Jordo! 03-21-2011 10:30 PM

$400 for two flanged tailpipes, huh?

Okay...

Big J 03-29-2011 09:42 PM

So I got these installed and I already have test pipes. It is loud, if you dont want loud, don't get these with test pipes. I'm loving it though, and it has a very deep tone to it as well. I was expecting LOTS of rasp and did not get that with this setup.

If so, only low speed; he should pick up some power up top.

Big J 03-31-2011 01:02 PM

I'm sure my stock y pipe is still creating some back pressure.

GZ3 03-31-2011 01:07 PM

from my understanding of the VQ exhuast and scavenging, you shouldnt lose any back pressure after the Y pipe...i may be wrong, if anyone else can chime
