I still think the washer mod would be best for your situation because: 1) There are no real axle-back options available for the Z that aren't ridiculously loud or ridiculously expensive. 2) It's cheap! 3) You can control the volume, and if you don't like it it's super easy to reverse. If you don't want to do that, then look into HFCs.
