Cleaning is easy for the dry filters. Knock out the dirt, rinse them if necessary,let them dry, then reinstall. Oiled filters are a bit or complicated. As you have to remove the oil and then re-oil them after cleaning. (They sell cleaner kits, but Simple Green works just fine.) Hence, the reason most stick with dry filters. |
