Default Greddy vs Stillen exhaust

I have been shopping around for new exhaust to add to the 370z. I wanted to find out if there were any opinions that people have on either exhaust, what are the pro and cons, etc etc. I also wanted to find out if anyone on here had any videos of the two exhaust systems.

i like the sound and fit (and appearance for that matter) of the Greddy better... you might get more responses in the exhaust/intake section..

Fast intentions TDX!! I would go to the intake exhaust section and compare the FI to the two you mentioned.

IBTM - I personally like the GReddy SE better. I think the Stillen sticks out too far. However the Stillen has been proven by multiple members to have good power gains. As unknown 370 said, definitely check out the FI as well.

My buddy has the greddy with Titanium Tips and with his test pipes it sounds terrible imo. its about twice as loud as mine too.. I have a video of us going through a tunnel. PM me your email address and I will send it to you..

The greddy just sounds like sh*t. Im not sure which one his is but I def would say go stillen over his ... His tips also DO NOT line up straight.. one kinda cocks out to the side more than sitting straight...

Maybe with stock cats or HFC it would be better but its gross with test pipes...

hopefully he doesnt take offense to this if he see's it, just my opinion

Really?? Could it just be his set up or do you in general think they sound terrible? I've heard them on youtube and they dont sound overly loud/terrible.

Greddy is selling $10 LED strips for $100 bucks on there website.

I wouldn't put it past them to re badge an Ebay exhaust with their name and double the price! Maybe it's the economy? Desperate times call for desperate measures

There are way better CBE systems out there right now. You will get way better customer service on them as well. You won't even get a reply back from Greddy.

Good luck with your choice

another "which exhaust is better" thread. OP, everyone is going to chime in with their opinion of the exhaust they own or have owned, thats how these all turn out, "Ooooh, I have the Fast Intentions, man its so loud, but quiet at idle!! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE END ALL AND BE ALL OF EVERRRRRYTHING!!!!" then you got the Stillen guys "Oh man, the tips dont stick out like everyone claims and it sounds amaaaazing!!", then somewhere someone butts in with a comment like "I've seen the so and so exhaust and it looks riced out", and then it turns into a pissing match from there. I had the Stillen, I liked it, but ultimately, you're the consumer, listen to some clips, find out if someone in your town has the setup you're curious about and listen to it in person, I cant think of a better way to help you make a decision man. All these threads end up the same, everybody pitching THEIR setup to someone else.

I hate it when people spread misinformation like this. The Stillen DOES NOT stick out too far when installed properly. Anyone that is complaining about the tips sticking out too far didn't take the time to make the proper adjustments that the slipjoints allow for.

According to the vids I've seen, the Greddy does sound pretty good with Stock cats. That said, I've heard the Greddy with HFCs in person and I didn't like one bit. Very raspy and not a deep sound at all. I would imagine that TPs would make it even worse.

How can it be misinformation when it is my opinion? I have been looking at exhausts for 2 months now. IMO I have not seen a picture of a Stillen exhaust where it did not stick out too much. Again this is my opinion on the appearance. You are more than welcome to have your own.

OP, I suggest you make your own decision on what you like. Obviously you are going to get differing opinions on every company and exhaust. Good luck with you search.
