I just forced it in and put clamps on it. I thought I was forgetting something and kept referring to the pictures but it looks like I did the right

I just forced it in and put clamps on it. I thought I was forgetting something and kept referring to the pictures but it looks like I did the right thing.
2k miles later, everything is still working correctly so I'm fine with it.
