I have K&N drop ins and Z1 MAF tubes installed now with the intentions of getting Motordyne ART pipes and Fast Intentions CBE (not sure yet on 12" vs 18" resonators but def one of the two, NOT going non-resonated).

Will this require a tune? I know obviously it would help but I'm concerned on whether or not I will run the risk of running too lean and possibly damaging the engine. Once my warranty is up though I'm all for a tune

Default Mod update?

Have you had any engine issues with your mods and not running the tune? I have so far ? Or did you end up tuning your Z?

The rule-of-thumb is that you only need a tune if you make both intake and exhaust mods. The ECM will usually compensate enough to protect the engine if only one side is changed. However, many people think a tune is well worth the time/expense - even with no mods - due to better throttle feel, better shifting, more power, etc.

Agreeing with that bro up there ^ i recently got my exhaust installed and honestly didn't even think of getting a tune just for that. I know an aftermarket exhaust is more than just for noise, but I dont feel the need to spend on a tune without completing the bolt-ons I/H/E first. after i get some Stillen air intakes, then for i would probably start looking into a tune for sure (I don't plan on changing out the cat's, just yet).
