Default VIDEO INSIDE -Stillen G3 and CBE vs. FI exhaust, ERZ HFC and Injen intake

So I had a chance to meet up with Pat (Kielbasa16) and take a look at his setup. I was primarily interested in seeing how his HFC sounded, but since I had never heard an FI exhaust in person, that was intriguing as well! First of all...Pat is a super nice kid, and all told we took about an hour first driving our own cars around...then we each took turns driving each other's car. Before parting ways, we decided to take some vids.

Some personal impressions: Pat's setup sounds amazing. It's loud and deep, and I didn't hear any of the raspy sound I expected from the HFCs. There was a little hiss on decel, but it wasn't annoying in the least bit....in fact it was kinda cool sounding. My setup by comparison sounds not very loud at all! That said, when Pat took my car for a spin as I stood by and watched, it was a confirmation to me that my setup is perfect for my taste. For me...any louder would be too much.

Anyway...here are some vids. Enjoy!

My setup: Stillen G3 Intake and Stillen CBE.

Kielbasa16's setup: Injen Intakes, ERZ HFC and FI CBE w/18" resonators.

Joe, the vids came out awesome minus my shaky hands haha. It was real cool meeting up today thanks for coming out. The Stillen definitely has its upsides, as well as the roadster. Its about time we get a Long Island meet organized!

What are the upsides of the Stillen you are referring to? I am about to get it and debated with the FI setup. Thanks for the info.

I think the best way to describe the difference between the two is that the FI is DEEEEEEP. It's like there's a subwoofer attached to the rear of the car. The Stillen is more "throaty" I would say. It has a growl to it that I think is very addictive. Also, you might consider the fact that the Stillen has more of a stock look as an "upside".

Both great exhausts in my opinion...it's all a matter of preference.

Well my appointment is tomorrow so... I'll see soon enough. I got the antenna you recommended. I love it.

Tomorrow I am doing Stillen exhaust and Intake. Before December, I will do the Stillen front bumper which I love, the Eibach Springs, 38% stillen swaybar which I think is necessary after being in Malibu canyons.

Not sure what else I should do after that. Is there anything I can do to bring the car close to 400 HP (flywheel) without a major engine mod?

I imagine that the Stillen Intake and exhaust brings it close to 380 HP (flywheel) where can I get the next 20 HP?

The only way to get close, and I say close because you wont get to 400 with bolt ons, is to get some high flow cats or test pipes or headers, as well as a tune and maybe some pulleys (aside from the other mods youre already getting).

That ought to get you close, but not quite there.
