I didn't order direct from them, no, but it was shipped direct. I'm wondering if something happened during shipping, but I doubt it. The box wasn't too damaged when I got it though.

Did you get the exhaust with the Round or Oval Tips. I've heard of this problem before as it seemed to happen with the Oval tips. Since they went with the Round Tips, believe Berk made adjustments and this is an issue of the past.

Either way, I would call Berk direct on Monday and see what they have to say/will do for you.

Good luck. Let us know your outcome.

I emailed berk months ago, never heard back...they must not be too up on their emails...I wanted to know if there was a difference in the muffler section between the round and oval tips, I would purchase a muffler section with the round tips if it was close in price to buying the round tips and having them welded on...I REALLY want to change the tips, but I got the exhaust used, and could not pass it up, love the sound, love the round tips, my exhaust looks too stock with the oval tips. I had to do some tweaking to mine.

G/L with your decision.
I like them too the only drawback is they are a bit heavy and hang a bit low. I do love the sound on mine!!!

IV actually considered cutting and re-bending around the back end to bring up the clearance a bit

i know this is probably a dumb question but im gonna ask anyway.... would it be a good or bad idea to install the berk exhaust AND CAIs at the same time? like do I need the Z to adjust to one mod at a time or what? my Z is stock right now so i was wondering if i could kill two birds with one stone while the car is getting the exhaust installed and install the intakes at the same time.

thanks guys

Go for it. No problem doing both at the same time. The ECU will adjust accordingly. If you install HFC''s or Test Pipes, you will then want to get it tuned by UpRev or Eccutek.

I noticed immediate gains from the G2's. They will not be as great as the G3's. All in all, the car breaths much better and more efficiently. You will notice the difference. Paired with a great CBE and HFC/TP's, you will be rockin.

As far as Ecutek is concerned, they are new to the 370z community. Do a search here and you will find them. They are claiming great things, better than UpRev. We shall see. At least one thing is for certain, competition is good, really good.

I passed easily with HFCs. They are actually the best mod out of all the others you listed too (price-to-performance wise). The Berk CBE also sounds much better with HFCs imo. Just something to think about

Yea I agree that the berk exhaust goes extremely well with the cbe but I kinda don't want my car to hiss. I like the way the cbe sound w/ out hfc. Will intakes alter the sound of my cbe?

Some folks tend to think so. It sounds different inside the car for sure, but the actual exhaust note doesn't change (to my ears)

I actually asked them a similar question a while ago. The muffler tips are the only difference. Everything else is the same.

It would cost $400 + shipping for a new muffler section. His rationalization was that the muffler section is where all the expensive components of the exhaust are which I can believe, but holy cow!

You can get a good shop to cut and weld new tips on for under $50 and you can choose whatever tips you want at that point. That is the route I was going to take but aesthetics are on the back burner for now
