370z TANABE EXHAUST and Y PIPE DYNO and VIDS

Question: the stock exhaust inlet after the Y-pipe only appears to be 2.3" or so max, but the Tanabe y-pipe is around 2.75" at the same junction. Wouldn't this hurt

Wouldn't this hurt flow a bit?
