Seeking AGGRESSIVE!
 

To make a long story short, I'm seeking a more aggressive sound out of an exhaust setup. Of course I want the performance as well but it seems that the trend with many of the aftermarket companies (currently supplying 370z exhausts) is to tone it down in the DB department. Why?

Ok, I guess people want performance and not have to listen to a full time Indy racer but NOT ME.... I want something super aggressive. Digging around on the internet, I find that I really like both the sounds of the Quicksilver and Tubi exhaust systems marketed primarily for high end cars. Unfortunately, I have not heard of either company producing something for the 370.

I currently run the Gen III's with the Stillen HFC's and CBE and I think it sounds pretty good. I get a shiit ton of compliments on it too however I want even more.

Yeah I was thinking about test pipes. Do they really sound that much more aggressive than high flows though?

definitely...

In my opinion, you won't ever get close to that indy car sound with a front engine, 6 cylinder car.

That being said, there are alot of louder exhausts on the market in comparison to the Stillen CBE you're running (Boombop Shop, MXP, FI 12" resonators). Adding a test pipe would def up the db's as well.

Just heard the Fujimura CBE. Sounds :tup: I bet it sounds close to what I'm looking for with straight pipes attached.

if you want loud I agree with LOU!!! I wont be doing that... I got arrested cause of my last loud exhaust and it was just like the SG 350z but in a s2000 revving to 9K!!!! Cop said I was street racing by myself with no one else on the road. Didnt even tell me what I was arrested for till he was booking me in jail for the night. *note I was doing 50 in a 45...:shakes head: Go loud and you get what you ask for! I got pulled over again that next morning when I got out on bail cop said I was doing 70 in a 45!!! I literally said "WTF are you smoking!" I said show me where you got my speed from... I got told I estimated your speed and then on the ticket he wrote laser I later found out and I was on a B.O.L.O list... always check the ticket before you sign it... COPS LIE!!!* anyway I got most of all of that dropped but not after a year of court and lots of $$$. its still on my record that I was arrested :shakes head: F'n bullsh1t... I hate profiling cops!

Do you not know any good lawyers?? I know some high profile lawyers that would have torn the **** out of a arrested street racing ticket for going 50 in a 45. You need to check who you have cause a good lawyer could have sprung you easily.

I did get sprung easily the fact is in the state of GA if you get arrested for racing guilty or not they tack on reckless driving!!! its total Bull!!! but yeah the judge was a total Bitchh and is known for cracking down on racing... Gwinnett county also has had a major problem with it in the past and after moving the court dates trying to get different judges I got what I got. Racing was dropped and they wouldnt drop the wreckless driving and you want to know the judges reasoning....

"you must have done something to make the police officer do his duty and arrest you..." I almost blew a lid in the court room!!! I was like WTF you f'n bitch inside my head. My lawyer said I turned blood red at that comment... I know I did cause the room just went from 60 to about 120 from my anger. it just goes to show you that in america you are GUILTY until proven innocent!

I had to plead nolo to the wreckless driving :facepalm: and my insurance is through the freaking roof because of it. I parted my s2000 and traded it in for the Z.

I would have called my lawyer as soon as I got pulled over. How old are you? this **** seems to only happen to people under 25

yea bryan's got a similar setup on his 350z, non-titanium. stuuuupid loud but it sounds good. it really does sound like a race car

I think I'm going with FI Non Resonated exhaust. Wish someone had a sound clip of it... I cant find it anywhere.

that meistercraft exhaust is f'ing ridiculous, can you imagine that with test pipes? bloody ears would ensue. I think thats the sound you're going for right? go with that. Its by far, the raciest sounding one i've heard to date, and that clip is with stock cats....
