Oh, and just to add to the record, I too was considering the BERK CBE. I was my first choice. It had great sound (subjective) and performance, much like it competitors. However, after waiting around (long time) for their R&D and outsourcing of parts to arrive, the breaking news (at the time) of all the problems people were having with their systems after they've received it, left a really sour taste in my mouth. It's hard to imagine cause they produce a really great HFC that the community loves. Anyway, that is when I decided to look else where. Process of elimination.
That's my story.

I'm a new 370Z owner, coming from an 07 and then an 09 Corvette Z06. I had a switch that controlled the exhaust butterflies in the stock exhaust - could run them open or closed. Of course, I ran them open 95% of the time and loved the sound. The Z stock exhaust sound....not so much.
Here is my question: I realize that sound quality will be different, but does anyone know what size resonator in the FI exhaust will best approximate the loudness (ie decibel level I guess), of the stock Z06 exhaust with the butterflies open? If no resonator, is the sound much louder? Am think seriously about this exhaust but not sure about the resonator size. Last edited by carbonguy; 04-25-2010 at 08:24 AM. |

2nd place gets the girl in the middle.
------------ Remember folks, the first breather mod will always net you the most HP, whether it be HFC/TP/CBE/intakes etc. It's not that "product xyz" is necessarily better or worse than another, as much it is the order in which they are installed. From what I have seen, there's only a few HP difference between mods of the same type. It boils down to personal preference. |
