You buy their software, install it onto your laptop, hook it up to your ECU via the OBDII port with the cable that they provide and take a data log. You send the log to them, they make adjustments based on that log and send you your tuned ROM file back to you, which you then upload back into your ECU via your laptop. Same principle with Cobb AP (except you use their standalone AP device rather than your own laptop). You are not SOL on this.
