If anyone is considering this intake, adding heat shields is definitely worthwhile and brings the IATs close to ambient. Bigger K&N RU-3130 filters will also fit with a couple of mm of clearance to the radiator support.
Obviously going with one of the intakes that place the filter in the bumper is an easier option, but I’m happy with the result.
