It would have been better to leave the stock intakes and just drop in the K&N air filters and add Z1 silicone tubes. You are concerned with aesthetics but not about performance or eventual engine issues? Do you have a clear polycarbonate hood so that everyone can take a look into your engine bay? To each his own, I guess.

If you don't care about losing a few HP's, and all you were after was improved aesthetics and a louder intake sound, then you did good.
