I sent you a PM 3 days back :)

Sorry for my lack of patience this time, I'm just way too excited about those and been dreaming of them for a while now haha

hump day is the middle day, not just weds.

i beg to differ. i have never heard your explanation.

and most people have a 3 day week?????? whats a 3 day week? you work only 3 days? sweet

it would be called humphour if it was something that happened at a certain time of the day. like happy hour. its not happy day... unless you watch nick at night

"middle day" not the "middle of the day"

http://www.the370z.com/members/vipor...culasaurus.gif

3 day week because of christmas

http://www.the370z.com/members/vipor...culasaurus.gif

EDIT: THE MIDDLE DAY. you take 5 days (mon, tue, wed, thu, fri) and pick the middle day and you end up with wed. you have 3 in this case due to a holiday (mon, tue, wed) and pick the middle day and you end up with tue. context clues and calendars are great for figuring out when 3 day weeks are possible.

fuct 12-22-2009 11:23 AM

are you originally from texas? because hell ive never heard of "middle day"

and common, how was i soposed to know you only meant this week as a three day work week

anyhoot, BACK TO THE HEADERS!!!

Is everyone strapped for cash due to Christmas purchases or something? Or is this forum filled with a bunch of tuggers who just talk the talk but don't walk the walk? I mean, sh*t or get off the pot, people. And yes, I'm sure some of you have perfectly valid reasons for not pulling the trigger. I'm just surprised that it's taking so long to get the ten people needed for this GB is all. I mean, judging from some of the comments, it's as if many of you have been drooling and chomping at the bit for Tony to finish development on these and make them available for purchase. But now that he's done, all the demand for the product seems to have suddenly evaporated.

I'll tell you guys this much. If I were thinking of developing products for the 370Z, what has happened here would cause me to think twice in terms of trying to figure out how much genuine demand there is for new products. If we, as a community, give vendors a false and inflated sense of demand by clamoring for a product but then not buying when it's time to put our money where our mouths are, we will only succeed in shooting ourselves in our collective foot. Just sayin'

For me personally, I'm waiting for the vid. Money is second to that, though, I'm strapped at the moment due to paying $2K to a credit card in an effort to getting it paid off! :)

I'm sure there are others that are hinging on the video.

Another point is that production isn't even set to begin until Feb...

Oh, that's right! Thanks for reminding me. I keep forgetting that for many on this forum, the aesthetic element of sound matters more than measured gains. And no, I do not mean that as a snide, sarcastic dig towards you or anyone else. It just is what it is. ;)

No CAT provision eliminates a LOT of potential buyers (in most of the high population states)..Like it or not, the ability to get our cars registered and legal every year weighs heavily here..

A CAT'ed "Y" pipe would ease my concerns..

:iagree:
I just went crazy with my intake/exhaust for the end of the year, having to hold myself back and will probably buy around the time I get my tax refund in. Though with an ETA of February it might just be the exact same time, may as well just throw down 400 now...damn it Semtex, making now want to just throw my name on the list.

Measured gains aren't everything unless you're goal is just to make it a firebreather, and there's other ways to do that (TT, namely)

Also, if it sounds like sh*t, or sounds like a Civic with a fart-can...it won't sell to a number of people...yet, there are some that don't care. Myself, I don't want a RICE car, I want a good sounding performance exhaust.

It'll also depend on how loud they are - that's hard to judge by claim from the manufacturer - a consensus needs to be built. Thankfully there are a few people that will jump on it and take the first plunge.

They can report back on the difficulty of install, how much it cost them to have them install if they didn't DIY, maybe even write up a DIY article....and report back sound level changes, even post vids.

Anyhow...I know it wasn't a snub. For me, and I imagine most people, gains aren't the only thing that drives sales.

Just curious, but couldn't someone replace the resonators in the back section with cats?

That, or like you said, make the X-Pipe have the cats integrated there? (I think that's what you're suggesting)

I guess what I'm asking is that I don't know if there's a requirement for the cats to be as close to the engine as possible or not.

Do it!!!! :excited:
Actually, when I spoke to Tony over the phone, he told me the ETA is probably more like March. Makes it even more tempting, doesn't it?

questions for tony on headers

Tony , I have the FI cbe with 18'' res and carbon and really like the looks quality and sound (except the 2000-2300 drone) and am interested in the headers ,
1) How do you get the manifold sensors to reach ?
2) What is the reason for long tubes before going into one ?
3) I really am interest to know if the sound is louder , and if the design is better or worse in the drone department ?
I now have stillen headers and berk cats , and am looking for everything I can get out of the NA motor . The things I am looking for are power , light weight , quality , and sound .
I look for your response and want to thank you again for a great cbe system and great service , I have had several say they were getting one from you after seeing and riding in my car.

Hey Mike, thanks. I hope all is well. Let's talk about getting a set of these on that time attack car. More power, lighter weight. It seems like a win win deal for you!

Thanks. Things are moving forward for me. :) I couldn't run these in time attack though as I have to have catalytic converters for my class. :( Plus its looking like the 370Z will take a break from time attack next season anyway.

I don't know about the others but Tony asked me to hold on till they confirm fitment on the G37. Till then my money is ready and I'm good to go. I don't know why you quoted me in the first place

I'm sure once the video's are out and that Italian Mandrel is in Tony's hand people will start coming in.. Even more will come in once people start writing reviews. Personally I know 2 people who are just waiting to hear them on my car before they order them. It really is more of a chain reaction kind of thing.

I quoted you only because your request for a 'hump day update' was a convenient segue into my little rant. Sorry, it wasn't my intention to direct my remarks to you personally or anything like that. I apologize if it came across that way. ;)
