Default Water intrusion into cold air intake

I'm having an issue with water getting into my driver's side intake. I'm using the Injen cold air setup and it happens to the driver's side. Anyone else have any issues like this and found an appropriate solution? The passenger side is fine and never has an issue, only the driver's side. Thanks in advance.

I'm confused how it's only one side getting water. Assuming you're not driving through puddles only on the driver's side, maybe some of the undertray or fender liner is open on that side?

This is also where I'm confused. I probably have to pull the bumper off again and investigate further. It doesn't matter if it's a heavy down pour or a mist either. I just wasn't sure if other members had a similar issue with their cold airs.

Yeah, I'm at a loss as to how only one side is getting wet.

Me too. lol. I wonder if maybe the air guide under the bumper isn't place correctly on that side and it's allowing excessive water to pass on through.

Or the fender liner has a gap and the tire is throwing water on the filter from the other side maybe?

could be possible but not too likely. i glanced under there when I first noticed it happening and the liner looks like it's sealed tighter than a frog's a$$. lol. It's definitely worth a second peek though.

Maybe the weatherstripping on that side of the hood is fubar and allowing water to run down inside? I'm just grasping at straws on this without pics.

Could it be a build up of condensation?

it's much more than condensation. When I pull the MAF sensor out the driver's side tube, it's saturated in H2O.

nope. it's fine when I wash it. It's only after it rains, which is odd. I'm just going to tear it apart once I'm done swapping this Prelude motor and my garage is free again. lol.
