I'm sure it does, Steve. Get some vids for us. :)

It will be with stock cats. Sound is exactly what I wanted. It's no longer a sound. It's a tone.

Yeah, that's fine. I have stock cats and will most likely keep it that way.

We can't get too crazy now in our old age, you know. :stirthepot:

Today I got the last cbe from berk. Package looked good and everything looked undamaged. I did lay it out on the ground to make sure every piece lined up, which it did. Overall the cbe looked ok, there were some scratches but because it is underneath the car it didn't bother me too much.

I did the install alone and it took me about 3 hrs one hour of that was unbolting the stock cbe. The y pipe didn't exactly line up to the cats but luckily the material of the y pipe flexes with a lot of force. I wasn't able to torque some of the nuts like 2 on the cats because the flexible metal got in the way of my socket. I did tighten those nuts by hand. The tips didn't line up perfectly. Took a drive afterward and definitely better than the silent stock exhaust, no drone by the way.

You have no idea what it looks like around here, JB! It looks like the world's largest tornado hit here. HUGE trees down everywhere, tens of thousands without powah, many 'till thursday. It's a friggin mess. Imma not dodging trees to make a bloody vid. :tiphat:

In the few days I've driven since installing the BERK exhaust, I have to say, the butt dyno approves! It feels incredibly more responsive, especially in the 3-6k RPM range. I would be surprised if the BERK CBE/HFC combo hasn't added 30-40 whp.

And I have to say it again, the "harshness" of 6.5K+ in this engine is all but gone with this exhaust. I'm sure it's still "there", but I no longer can feel/hear it. All I hear at 6.5k RPM is magic.

I completely agree with the above statements, especially comments about the 3-6k rpm range and the apparent lack of harshness above 6.5K. I can't explain that. Engine feels like it's running a lightened pulley or something now, weird. Just seems to rev more freely. VVEL FTW!

One other thing I immediately noticed. The mechanical sounds of the engine sound better, especially with a throttle blip from idle. Also weird, but I like it. And this I can explain...with a less restrictive exhaust, the loudest noise now comes from the tailpipes; with the OEM exhaust it seemed like the noise was emanating from the resonators, almost from underneath the vehicle. Less noise in the cabin when cruising!

I 100% agree with everything you just said. My car really came alive between 3 and 6K with a huge boost up top past that all the way to red line.

Its funny that you say the high RPM harshness is gone, I took my mom for a ride yesterday and was commenting to her that the engine is much smoother now up high. All in all this exhaust did wonders for my car. I'm very pleased with it! Good job Berk

Breathing mods definitely help with the high rpm harshness.
