Thanks for the feedback berk. Again, minus the packaging, this system is incredible!

Well after a 10 hour day, 2:15 min ride home. Some 2 hours added to that the Berk system is on. Sounds great just wish it wasn't going to rain all weekend, so I could let her breath alittle. Time for some over due sleep...

Rest assured that we have taken an entirely different approach to packing these systems after the criticism from our customers and first hand knowledge of how truly disrespected these boxes are by the delivery companies.

Unfortunately, because of this, some of our customers exhaust hangers have been bent during the shipping process resulting in mis-aligned tips after install. We are working with these customers to resolve their issue, but we are happy to announce that this is not a manufacturer defect that is causing the mis-aligned tips and re-assure any potential customers in the future that their exhausts will be packaged in a way to prevent bent hangers. We would like to thank The Weapon for helping us determine the cause of this.

We have learned an important lesson through this first batch, but we stand behind our product and our customer service 100%. My exhaust arrived today well packed and in good shape. Weighing the pieces without the packaging I got the following numbers.
muffler section 32.2lbs
y section 12.2lbs
resonators 8.8lbs each
bolts and gaskets 1.2lbs
total of 63.2lbs

My BERK exhaust came in today as well. After seeing how some of the others received theirs, I was worried about how it would be packed. Well, there was no need to worry for me, it was packed perfectly. See pictures below. The box did have one hole but that was it. Lots of paper in the box, cardboard supports for the different part, all parts were wrapped in bubble wrap and to top it all off, the mufflers and resonators had an additional layer of some sort of foam material around them.

As I received the box at work, I was able to weigh the parts on our shipping scale. I believe the weight of this exhaust has been discuses already, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to mention it again.

Total weight: 64lbs
Parts:
- Muffler section: 33lbs
- X-pipe: 13lbs
- Mid pipes (resonators): 9lbs each, so 18 in total

For the nitpickers: yes, I left the protective martial on the exhaust when I weighed the parts, so if it makes anyone feel better, you can say the total weight is slightly less then 64lbs...

Install will be on Saturday morning, I'll report back with my review then.

Pretty close to JB1's weight....he weighed his exhaust with the packaging still on it....

Just finished installing Berk exhaust(already had HFC's). Easy one man job if you just bolt it in place, but helper is required to perfectly align each point of connection. I managed to get the wife to crawl underneath the car and tighten some bolts while I lined up the matching flanges. The exhaust tips lined up perfectly.
The sound is much lower pitched and mellow when cruising through the neighborhood. As has been reported before, no drone at highway speeds. Berk really got it right on this product.

Dude, you wife rocks. If I asked my wife to crawl under the car she would have laughed at me and walked away.

No, the flanges face in the proper direction. Looks to me like his HFC's are not cooperating with the install. I bet if he removes the pipes and bolts them together on the floor they will line up perfectly.

370zdub 03-14-2010 12:16 PM

I installed my exhaust yesterday and it went on without a hitch, everything lined up perfectly and the tips look good too. The tone is intoxicating. Oh I also installed my HFC's at that time and everything line up great with those too! Great job Berk
