Beluga catback need to be louder

Default Beluga catback need to be louder

Hello,

I love the way how my exhaust sounds but I just wish it would be a bit louder. Are there any modifications I can do to make it louder? Such as changing the muffler but keeping the aftermarket Y Pipe + Midpipe? Or even changing my current Y pipe with another brand.

Thanks

Do you already have test pipes? It'll definitely be louder.

I have the Meisterschaft axel back expensive, but well worth it. Today I had their mid pipes installed and what a difference. It is still tame at idle, but get up to 2500 rpms and it started getting loud. Once you hit 4000 rpms, holly **** does it sound great. I'm an old man (64) and my 21 year old son says if the 370Z's came with this exhaust, he would buy a Z.
For their complete system, it's about $2500. You may want to look at AAM h-pipe midpipe for about $850 I think. I thought about buying it, but decided to stick with the same brand as the axel backs.

Test Pipes would be the cheapest way to make it louder if you're on a budget. Just make sure you have to tools needed to remove the OEM Cats and secondary transportation if you bust a socket/wrench.

Another option is Short Tails (Muffler Delete). I had AAM Short Tails for a few months before saving to buy a full CBE and absolutely LOVED the sound. They cost a bit more than test pipes new, but you can get used ones for relatively cheap (I'm actually going to be selling mine here within a few weeks). I even debated fabricating my own X and Midpipe to kill the drone and resonance inside the cab. After tearing down the OEM exhaust and figuring what I would have needed to do without a Mandrel Bender, I decided to buy a complete CBE.

Sawzall. Right behind the cats. Get rid of all that sissy exhaust stuff.

If you go high flow cats or test pipes I would take it in for a tune ASAP. You won't be fully benefiting from the upgrades without it. And that way if you do end up getting a CEL, the tuner can deactivate it.
