Default Installing NISMO Type R Long Tube Intake

I am going to replace my K&N short ram with a long tube NISMO system. Looking through the install manual, I have a couple questions.

Since I don't have the stock system, I don't have the small breather resonators that connect to the side of the intake tubes. The K&N system removed them. I'm thinking I will need to find a set of these breather resonators or buy the Z1 breather tubes.

The second issue is mounting the washer fluid bottle. There are separate instructions for Nismo and Base. I have a base, but I have a Nismo front bumper. I'm guessing I would follow the instructions for the Nismo since I changed over the bumper cover. Anyone know why there are different installation instructions?

Any reason I can't just run new hose from the intakes to the motor and use one of these pcv elbows where needed on each side? When I remove the K&N system, I will need to remove all the hose and connectors that are there now so that I sell the system without missing parts.

You'll be fine eliminating the resonators. I'd just get some really flexible hose and use elbows if necessary. If you need pics, lemme know.

I was able to get it done. I bought a foot of 5/8 tubing and the pcv elbow, but ended up using the K&N parts and the pcv elbow to make it work. I plan to replace with Z1 tubes. It came with 2 different brackets to locate the washer tank. I used the instructions for Nismo edition and didn't have any issues. So far, so good - no codes, no lights.

TriNismo likes this.

Replaced my make shift breather hoses for Z1 silicon tube today. Nice fitting parts.
