I don't that either about omitting the mounting tabs, BUT... If the welds on the FI cats are good as well as thick metal used, it should hold up pretty

I don't that either about omitting the mounting tabs, BUT... If the welds on the FI cats are good as well as thick metal used, it should hold up pretty well without failing. The exhaust isn't all that heavy and is still supported in the middle and rear of the car.
