The Stillen headers did the same thing. I'm not surprised. It's because the stock manifold has unequal length tubing. When you replace those with equal length tubing, the smooths out the sound somewhat.

Thanks for the clarification Semtex. Do you have the stillen headers? Just curious to see which one performs better and which one sounds better. Granted I know that the gains will be minimal - however just like most of the folks here on the forum, I only want the best to fit on the Z. Ya digg?
