The amount of water to reach the Gen3's is about mid door on the side and well IF water reached that high? You've got bigger problems. Gen2's imo are not all that great and so your better off slapping some K&N filters and staying stock. In to your question? Yes I would just stay away from injen style cai for obvious reasons.
