I was interested in seeing gains too. Too bad, if I would've known, I would let you use my Z1 manifold. I'm 20 mins from Granite State.

Hmm. Yeah, you can't really compare any Mustang dyno to a dynojet.

Would you mind sharing your drf's with me for my database after you re-dyno? The shop should be able to give you them either on a thumb drive or email them to you.

I can make whatever graphs you want in exchange :)

If that's cool by you, let me know and I'll PM you my email

Why didn't you run It on the same dyno you had it tested on before? apples to apples is what we want to see

ANMVQ 04-04-2015 07:17 PM

Jordo I'm pm you know ,

The coppariosn was going to be on this dyno , the place I used was booked till the end
Of the month and got itchy :( . The run I made a few months ago at 285 WHP was with the M370 ( Mustang Dyno) and the only thing I've added was the Takeda cold airs. I will most likely go back to my place in a week or so with the Z1 on the car to see to WHP diffence . I wanted to try to do it all in one day for you guys but eh

LAVA 04-05-2015 12:22 PM

oh ok, well keep us posted

ANMVQ 04-06-2015 07:09 AM

I will, The Z1 will be here this week, and will be slapping it on and try to hit the dyno this Saturday morning.

ANMVQ 04-06-2015 10:58 AM

So figured out why the dyno was 70 WHP less than my buddies 370Z, The had the rolls for a full time AWD ;/. I find it that a lot of places dont realize the AWD on infiniti is not a full time and the car really drives as a RWD car, :/. No worries I'm making a stop at "my place" before I got back to them for my ported lower intake install and runs on May 15th. The Z1 intake is going on this weekend.

Actually, I was wondering about that -- if you can't send 100% of the power to the rear wheels you'll need a AWD dyno...

That said, you'll still get usable values from the 2WD dynojet.

In fact, I can make a comparison graph of yours vs others to get a sense of the extent to which the power estimates differ between 2WD and AWD VQ37HR's.

What would you need from me? From what I've seen, being on other dynos is there no realy difference , Ex : I made 300 WHP and 222 WTRQ on my 2011 X coupe, with Intakes, cat back and tune. RWD Coupes make similar numbers on the same machine, (Mustang dyno) The only "real" difference would be auto VS manual IMO

370Z JT 04-12-2015 11:21 AM

Did you go yesterday?

ANMVQ 04-13-2015 05:30 PM

No the 25th, I was supposed to swap the intake over this weekend but Z1 is behind. I should see it this week.

Just the drf's.

I have drfs for other G37's and 370Z's, both AT and MT (there is no clear difference in output between that I can see, BTW). I can match it up to one with similar ambient conditions (that data is included in the drf) and use the same correction to get a close comparison.

Only other thing I would need to know is gear, which I'm guessing with be 4th. Oh, and I guess if its in or above ground -- there may be a slight difference between the two in readings, but if so, its VERY slight.

They don't have them. Their tuner was on vacation so one of the shop guys was running the dyno. They told me they didnt log anything behind the scenes. :/

Ok so got my Z1 yesterday and flipped it around before the wife got home to grab me and go to the gym. Yes it only takes and hour, :)

Few more of my stock lower and M370.

Also was surprised my lower intake was so clean :). Turbo 108 FTW
