No the 25th, I was supposed to swap the intake over this weekend but Z1 is behind. I should see it this week.

RWD Coupes make similar numbers on the same machine, (Mustang dyno) The only "real" difference would be auto VS manual IMO

Just the drf's.

I have drfs for other G37's and 370Z's, both AT and MT (there is no clear difference in output between that I can see, BTW). I can match it up to one with similar ambient conditions (that data is included in the drf) and use the same correction to get a close comparison.

Only other thing I would need to know is gear, which I'm guessing with be 4th. Oh, and I guess if its in or above ground -- there may be a slight difference between the two in readings, but if so, its VERY slight.

ANMVQ 04-14-2015 01:27 PM

They don't have them. Their tuner was on vacation so one of the shop guys was running the dyno. They told me they didnt log anything behind the scenes. :/

Few more of my stock lower and M370.

Also was surprised my lower intake was so clean :). Turbo 108 FTW

Asheth 04-22-2015 10:11 AM

Any info on gains vs z1?

Edit: read your post in the other thread. Subbed for updates

ANMVQ 04-22-2015 12:37 PM

Those are coming Saturday morning. I made runs with the M370 in Nov and making runs ,Same place, same dyno, etc on Saturday between 11-12pm

ANMVQ 04-25-2015 08:44 AM

Here now lol early as usually ! There's a mini copper S on the dyno now making about 210 WHP .

mag_black 04-25-2015 08:46 AM

Good luck brother. Try to get those dyno run files too.

ANMVQ 04-25-2015 09:00 AM

So paid off being early they had a guy cancel so I'm going on next!

ANMVQ 04-25-2015 09:58 AM

So all Said and done the Z1 ....,.. Made the same WHP and 2 less WTRQ . Previous numbers were 287 WHP and 231 WTRQ. Numbers were the same all tho the M370 held the WTRQ longer than the Z1.
And this was with no adjustnt to my tune strait M370 to Z1 pulls.

jwick 04-25-2015 11:01 AM

Up coming Intake manifold testing .

That's easily lost in dyno conditions. So basically no differences. You sticking with the Z1?

Asheth 04-25-2015 11:07 AM

Thanks for taking the time to do this testing. Makes deciding much easier for me

You can see they are close but :/.. The AF's aren't steady, My tune touched up :/

370Z JT 04-25-2015 03:24 PM

Were you able to obtain the drf's -- the dynorun datafiles?

Car is ETune for the M370 is only. So no tune for the Z1. I'm think there's some power lwft on the table with the Z1. I should have a tuned set of runs on the May 30th. :tiphat:

ANMVQ 04-25-2015 08:28 PM

I asked Jordo may see them Monday.

Just sent them to you Jordo!

Jordo! 04-28-2015 05:25 AM

Sorry... I can only make graphs out of dynojet run files. I guess I could see if there's similar software available for mustang dynos...

ANMVQ 04-28-2015 07:58 AM

Yes sorry the output is in txt. :/

ANMVQ 05-07-2015 10:48 AM

So I went and picked up my ported lower from Grantie State tuning. I wasn't really happy with the job they left lips and a grove in every runner :/, The casting marks, they tried to tell me the lip would make zero difference. I cleaned them up anyways when I got home and the install went perfect, The hardest part for my was the fuel rail attachment to the regulator stock fitment is very snug and almost zero wiggle room. I got some drive time on it last night really didn't get on it too hard( Wife was with me) But theres something there just not sure what or how much yet the upper mid ranges feels really good tho :) I should have more this week.

on to the pics, First pic is the lip they left in every runner :( last one is after I cleaned it up( smoothed it out)

More pics, last on the finished install

370Z JT 05-10-2015 01:50 PM

how long does it take to remove and install the lower?

Did they enlarge the runners? or just smoothen it out?

Are you selling your OEM lower? how much?

ANMVQ 05-10-2015 07:00 PM

Install uninterrupted would take about 1-2 hrs you'll have to take your time and do make e sure you remember where everything goes and no not brake anything :) they did both enlarged then and smoothed then out . I am selling the stock lower, 150$. You can shoot me a pm.

Elmo370z 05-10-2015 08:42 PM

Wonder why these manifold fall off in top end?

?? They don't. The M370 fall's off . The Z1 is a ported Stock G37 mani, and the lower manifold I have is the Stock ported one. :/

synolimit 05-11-2015 06:52 AM

What did they do if they didn't port it right? What did you pay?

Also the fuel line has plenty of room for install. You have remove 2 bolts on 2 brackets on the left and it'll have a ton of room. Also why are the injectors sitting on the harness plug but some aren't? All you have to do is unbolt the rails 4 bolts, pull up to pop out all 6 injectors, then pull out to unplug the harness for all them, and then remove the lower.

And install takes maybe an hour. I've done enough now and porting that it's super easy. I can post a how to.

Please don't bring this pi$$ing match in here. There's too many of us that are following this thread to have it cluttered up with off topic BS.

Japanjay 05-11-2015 08:02 AM

Its not cluttering anything. My manifold is at synergy. With shawn who is doing the porting. I definitely didn't ship to columbus oh. I was just in springfield though at zspeeds shop, but currently traveling back to seattle right now. Just clarifying the tool work.

Japanjay 05-11-2015 08:04 AM

In about a month at most I will hasn't the z1 upper on, lower done by shawn, and throttle bodies done by synergy as well, but are done by acquaintance of shawn.

Thanx Scott,

yea I removed those ( Of course) I just didn't want to bend the line to much fear of kinking it or breaking it :/.. I guess i paid for shotty work, They offered to do my other lower and I' wont be doing that. Wish mine looked like yours :shakes head:

No I mean mine. $800 60 gallon compressor, Husky heavy duty die grinder and a compete set of bits thank you.

Also still doing my TB's by my guy who's been doing it for years and years. Hope this acquaintance knows what he's doing. And I hope it's actual CNC and not hand porting and its under $305 with the butterfly thinned and everything else I have done. I think the OP just showed what can happen when someone doesn't know what they're doing or are just in it for money or whatever.

Sucks, sorry bout that. Since you're a returning costumer I'll give you a deal if you want to. Just turn around and make money off a ported lower to someone else.
